What Actually Is Human Growth Hormone (HGH)?

  1. It is a hormone produced by the anterior pituitary gland. Too little creates dwarfism and too much produces gigantism. It also can be used to increase tissue growth by increasing protein synthesis in the muscles. I have also heard it can be used for wasting syndrome primarily seen in people with advanced cases of AIDS. It also decreases as we age which makes us look older.
