I’m not quite sure how to convince her…?

I had bloodwork done by my family doctor, but he can't do a test for hghd. My mom doesn't want me obsessing over this and tries to assure me all is well. But I want to make sure before my growth plates close, if they havent already. How can I convince her to let me see a endocrinologist?

From what you have stated, I would be worried, especially since I seen this problem before. As how to persuade her, that’s not an easy thing to do once her mind is made up. But she will doing a disservice to you and you will hold it against her for the rest of your life. I would hate that to happen to me, if I were her. She should try to be more understanding of your feelings and the results that may occur because of her
reluctance to take this further step.
After all it’s your life that is at stake and your happiness. Let her see the responses your get and let her know that she is wrong in her attitude.

Why can’t your Dr. test for deficiency? Its a simple blood test, IGF1. Anyway, at 18 your plates have already closed. But if you are deficient you should be seen by an endocrinologist.
