curious about HGH. need help from experts?
Okay I just turned 18 and I have want to grow taller because i'm always shorter than most people and I always have disadvantages in sports and all the other bad stuff that being short gives you. So i'm getting pretty desperate here and need advice from a professional like an endocrinologist or it would be better if from someone who has actually tried this supplement known as HGH (human growth hormone) which I have just discovered when researching on the internet. Now I heard that it can be really effective if your epiphyseal plates aren't closed yet but if it is closed it would be impossible to grow taller. I don't need a lecture about how 18 year olds usually have epiphyseal plates sealed during there age because I have a friend who actually grew about 3 inches taller when he was 18 years old until he became 19 years old so that gives me motivation that I might have a chance myself. My Father and my older brother is still taller than me which means that I haven't really reached my full potential and I want to exceed that. Even 2 to 3 inches would make me the happiest guy in the world right now so I need advice from reliable sources. Would HGH really make me taller? What are the side effects of taking HGH at my age? Is it necessary to consult to an pediatric endocrinologist? What should I do? Please help, it would be best if the answer would actually come from an endocrinologist or better from someone who has actually tried HGH when they were 18 or nearly that age, that's the best answer I can get I guess. I just want to know if HGH would really make me taller and at the same time I want to know that side effects it might have on me so that I know what i'm getting into before pushing through using this supplement. Please read my description first before you answer, i'm not going to give the best answer to the first guy who answers, rather i'm going to give it to the one that really helps me out.

I hate to say it but you will not get a professional answer here on Yahoo answers… well not the one you are looking for.
How tall a person is heavily relies on genes… BUT, there will always be exceptions to the rules I’m afraid.
You say your brother and father are tall, how about your mother, and to a further degree-your grandparents? If she is short (or only one grandparent was short from either side) then you could have inherited her/their side of things and will therefore be shorter than if you had got your fathers side of things… read up on gene inheritance.
And you are only 18… you are still growing!!! even you state that fact… just don’t get your hopes up that you will grow the extra few inches because you may not.
Your best option is to NOT stress out over this… live life to the fullest and take each day as it comes…

First of all HGH has been taken off the market. Too bad for those of us who really loved it, but HGH is not for young people. You shouldn’t need it at your age and probably don’t even need it For what your looking for dude, it’s an age old question; if you find the answer to that one you won’t have to be concerned about height. Ask Tom Cruise he put lifts in his shoes. But seriosly, you can only get HGH from a doctor, and at your age: Good Luck with that! Plus, it’s really expensive.
