17 Male 5"3 Growth Spurt?
i understand that height comes from your genes.
My mum is 5 foot and my dad is 5 foot 7
There are relatives in my family that are quite tall 5"9+
as i am 17 will i experience a "growth spurt" anytime soon?
if so how long will this spurt take to reach its end and how will i know that i am growing?
Also i dont look very mature for my age. People my age look alot more mature then what i do, i can still get away with "child" when catching the bus. (child is the price you pay if you are,look, under 16) i have grown facial hair but only on my upper lip.... i have not got sideburns like my friends have, would this make a difference in anyway?
i read somewhere that exercise stimulates the human growth hormone (hGH) i have recently started working out, i am some what overweight (158 pounds) my workout consiststs of cardio and weight lifting and i am on a calorie intake cut.
(edit ^^^ i now weigh 141 pound and am not overweight anymore)
i am experiencingng slight pains in my knees some times in the lower part and that next day in the upper part that connects to my thigh. is this Growth related?
its started since ive been working out. i started in january they were quite strong back then but they died out in say 3 weeks and now i am experiecing the same again, the doctor said it may be growth related, it is at its most strongest when i am just about to go to sleep.
also how long does it take a human bone to grow say an inch?
any information would be very helpful

i forgot to mension that i was about 14 and a half wen i started expericing changes in my body and i grew from 5" to the height i am now, i have not grown since late 15

I just turned 16 and i am 5’4 but this school year i was 5’0 feet and now i am 5’4 so i think i am growing and the same thing will probably happen to you just give it time.

This sounds serious. Either you are not done growing or you NEED to be checked out by a doctor. I am 15 and havent started puberty yet, and I am your size. But it is all Genes. Be happy with your final height. Men grow until they are 21, so you still have 4 years. Ive known people who grew 1 foot in a year! So dont be surprised if you are 6"3 next year =]

hopefully soon because your nearing the end of when you grow im 14 and im 5’6 or 5’7 and haven’t seemed to grow much since the start of puberty

yes cause boy don’t stop growing until 19 or 20

My Dad didn’t stop growing until he was almost 25. He graduated high school at 5’11” and 35 years later he is 6’4”
