How long till Vitamin E pills start improving my skin tone?
So I'm taking 400mg of Vitamin E daily. I heard it helps get rid of pimples and other crap.
How long till it kicks in and start helping?
Acne Scar Treatment?
I have acne scars and I hate them so much! I have some on my cheeks and forehead. Is there any home remedies or treatments for acne scars? Also which is better Vitamin E oil or Salicylic Acid? The scars are not too bad but they are still noticeable. Please help! Thanks!
What is a good natural home remedy to improve acne scars?
I have had breakouts since I was about 12 and every once in a while still do. What makes it worse is I have the habit (sometimes even unconsciously) of touching/picking at my face a lot and as a result my skin, if you look closely, has a lot of tiny craters and scars from the acne. My pores also seem to be getting bigger the older I get (I'm 25).
My skin seems to fluctuate between being way too oily and way too dry. When I put on foundation it just seems to appear dry and flaky, even if I've used moisturizer first. Other times it feels like someone just poured oil on my forehead. I can't figure out how to get an even balance, but I just want to have the smoother skin I used to have even just a couple years ago.
I would love to get microdermabrasion but I can't afford it right now. I would love to hear suggestions on how to smooth out my face with cheap store-bought items or simple home remedies. I've heard lemon juice helps, as well as Vitamin E oil. Any others?
I'm not necessarily looking for acne treatment suggestions, as that's not my primary concern right now. I want to shrink the pores and craters on my face so it looks smoother. Even a little more expensive suggestions (but cheaper than microdermabrasion) would be appreciated!
Is it a good idea to get laser treatment for acne scars?
I have a lot of red and purple acne scars and i was wondering if it was a good idea to get the laser treatment that is available for those sort of things. Ive tried everything, proactive, bye bye blemish, doxycycline, vitamin e, lemon juice, zapzyt, clean and clear, and a bunch of other things but nothing seems to work. So if anybody knows if the laser treatment actually works i would greatly appreciate your input. Thanks!
I have had acne all my life. I am now 45 yrs old. What can I do to be rid of this?
I am also allergic to vitamin E which I can't even eat the foods rich in it. Proactive makes me breakout too. Doctors only want to prescribe antibiotics which make the acne more resistant to treatment and weaken the immune system. What else is there to do? I'm not an ugly woman, and I'm so tired of trying to cover it up which doesn't work either. HELP!
Vitamin E oil or cream for acne scars?
I've read on countless sites and reviews that vitamin e does the trick if you're looking to remove acne scars. I have acne scars on my chest, and I'm going to California in a month and I want to be able to wear a bathing suit without being completely embarrassed by it. I've heard both the oil and the cream work, but the oil works more effectively. But my concern is that since it's oil, it will clog my pores and just cause more chest acne breakouts. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
Oral non-Rx acne treatment?
I'm in college and still have severe acne issues. Topical treatments don't work at all, and my skin is too sensitive to use products that contain benzoyl peroxide (it burns to the point where I can't stand it and HAVE to wash it off).
I've been on amoxycillin for the past 2 years (1 pill, 2x a day) and it worked fabulous, however I now have pretty much no immune system and can no longer be on antibiotics for acne. I am currently on Differin gel, but as it is topical it is not doing much.
My question is if there are any non-prescription pills for acne that I could take. I am taking Biotin and Vitamin E pills as I've heard it helps with skin but I'm not seeing much if any difference. Are there any non-antibiotic pills or shots I could suggest to my dermatologist when I go back in to see him in November?
My skin and hair are also very oily, and skin is very sensitive which I'm sure doesn't help the situation.
