What's The Best Acne Medication?
I have extremely severe acne on my face. I've been to the dermatologist 3 times already, and all they have prescribed me is topical creams such as Duac, Differin, and Ziana. I'm getting really discouragd because none of these have worked. What sort of acne medications have worked for your guys? I don't want someone posting that only has a minor breakout here and there, I'm talking about the people who, like me, have it everyday and the acne never seems to subside. I've also tried Acne Free, and Clean and Clear. Neither of those have worked. I was looking into Skin Id, Proactiv, and Clearisil. Has anyone with severe acne tried those and found it to work? Please let me know. I would also like any information on foods to stay away from, and foods to look for.
Sorry I also forgot to mention that I have heard and would like to go on acutane. However, my mom is worried that it will damage my liver as that is a known possible side effect. I have had an allergic reaction to previous oral medications, resulting in an ulcer, which is the main reason we are trying to stay away from Acutane or other oral medications.
I am a black woman with acne scarring (dark spots etc.)?
and i would like to know what is the most effective treatment for this problem, cosmetic or topical creams anything?
how do u take care of acne?
I'm not looking for topical creams, etc. I want to know how I would be able to take care of the causes of my acne, not just putting on creams to take care of the effects (pimples) of acne. I'd also be interested in any home treatment type of ideas.

oh btw most of my acne is just on the skin, not underneath. meaning that I don't have those deep resevoirs of puss, I only have whiteheads, etc.
I was on Accutane, but now my acne is coming back. How do I keep it from getting as bad as it was before?
Before I went on Accutane, I had severe acne on my face, chest, and back. My dermatologist had me try many topical creams and pills but nothing ever worked. Accutane completely cleared it up. Now it is mildly returning on my face, chest, and back. I've been using Pro-Activ but it hasn't been doing anything. I'm very scared of my acne becoming severe again. Is there ANYTHING, like an at-home treatment, that is almost guaranteed to work?
