All-natural acne treatments?

What are some all-natural, DIY acne or general skin treatments I can make with products at home? For example, I've heard about baking soda on pimples and egg facials. I'm looking for both short-term and long-term treatments to clear acne and blemishes and keep my skin healthy.

i need help with my skin?

i need help with my skin. i think that it's very sensitive because if i shave my legs or underarms, the areas that i shave get red and bleed a bit (sometimes they don't, but other times they do very bad). is there any solution to stop this and to have smooth, clear legs and underarms?

i also have acne on my face, chest, and back. it's not the really big, red kind of acne. it's more of the small and annoying kind of acne that will not go away no matter how many products i use. i've tried everything from neutrogena (rapid clear) to clean and clear (advantage). i've also used st. ives (apricot scrub) and acnefree (clear skin treatments - 3 steps). i also used the neutrogena wave and it worked for the first few days, but my acne always comes back. i still have all of these products but i rarely use them due to the fact that they don't work on my skin. some of them have worked, but they dried up my skin and made my face peel and my skin got all over the place. i also have freckles and oily skin, which i hate, so my skin looks very unclean and oily. i know that many people wish they could have freckles, but they make me feel very ugly because they blend into my acne.

is there any solutions to have smooth, clear legs and underarms after shaving? and is there any solution to get rid of my acne and oily skin? please suggest any products, home remedies, face masks, diets, foods, and/or anything else that may help control and/or even clear my acne and give me smooth, clear legs and underarms. thank you!

How can I clear my skin?

I have a serious oil and shine problem, not to mention the fact that my nose is a blackhead magent and i am constantly breaking out on my forehead chin and back (yuuckk). I have used ProActiv, Zapzit, Oxy, Clean and Clear, the Wave(which sucks!), and pretty much everything else in the pharmacies.
My skin is always shiny and gross, and I really just want a semimatte look. My parents refuse to let me wear makeup(and I am 15!) so i need an acne medication that really works.
Please help, I hate looking like I have the chicken pox or something. I am so sick of having bad skin.
Tell me whatever works, whether its home remedies, skin treatments, acne medications, whatever.

Also- I eat really healthy (because my parents are crazy vegans there isnt a lot of bad food around) and i drink more than 8 glasses of water daily. I excersize, wash my face 3 times a day, everything everyone tells me to do.
Help!!!

I need some help with proactive?

Okay, well, some nights I use all of the products on my face, and some nights I dont. But every night I use the refining mask. I have been using it for about a week or 2 now, but my acne has barely ever cleared up. How long does it take for it to work?

Are there any other good and effective skin treatments out there that can get rid of acne fast?
Oh, oops. I didn't mean to say I use the refining mask every night. I only use that 2 times a week, sometimes 3...

I use the body pads everyday, once in the morning, once at night.

what are some acne secrets?

i am currently living a very active lifestyle, through sports activities and a lifetime fitness class in school. so, my skin is constantly oily, since i'm always on the go through exercise.

i was wondering if anyone knew of any secrets to a clear complexion? (also blackheads too) i am not asking for skin treatments or acne systems though. i was hoping to find different steps i could take at home using suggestions given.

for example, i have heard jennifer love hewitt said that applying white toothpaste to blemishes can clear your acne spots up over night. anyone have anything sort of similar to suggest?

How can I use yogurt on my skin for acne?

Those of you who have tried yogurt masks or skin treatments before, was it effective? Did your skin react badly to it?

What is a safe and effective non-prescription acne product?

I was wondering what you think would be the best non-prescription acne face wash for my situation.
I'm 14, have mild-acne on my forehead (even though it's believed to be a myth, I'm pretty sure this acne is because my bangs), and sometimes a pimple on a random location of my face. Other than that, my face is pretty clear and my skin is soft.

BEFORE I really got acne, which is when I was 12, I used Neutrogena Acne-Free Cream Cleanser ... or something like that. I can't find the exact name because Neutrogena doesn't manufacture this product anymore, but it was a creamy type wash...with a white/semi-translucent color. I used that once a day and I didn't have acne.

Then when that was out, I tried Neutrogena Deep Clean Cream Cleanser. After I turned 13, I started getting some acne on my forehead but it was barely any.

After I turned 14, I started using Neutrogena Deep Clean Scrub at nighttime, and some random face wash in the morning. I found after I started washing my face in the morning, it helped control my acne/ random single pimples. But I'm noticing that nothing is getting RID of my acne.

According to my history of facial washes and my situation...what's the best SAFE acne wash to use?

One of my friends told me ProActiv didn't do ANYTHING for her...but I know it's different for everyone.

Another of my friends told me that AcneFree Clear Skin Treatments (the 3-step package) was working wonders on his face, but he's only tried it for a week or so...so I'm guessing he wouldn't know if it had any long-term side effects.

After I heard about AcneFree, I was planning to go buy some but I decided to do some research. I heard the benzoyl peroxide can burn your skin and irritate it severely? And that it makes it really dry? I also read that AcneFree carries MUCH more benzoyl peroxide than ProActiv or any other acne product...is that risky to try? If nothing has ever irritated my skin in the past, should I be safe?

If a product works after a few days, does that necessarily mean it'll work long-term? Because I've heard of people who found amazing acne products, but after a while, their acne returned...and sometimes it was worse?!

Maybe if I only have acne on my forehead, would it be wise to just use the wash on my forehead and use something more gentle on the rest of my face?

Sorry for the extremely long question ...
THANKS BIG TIME THOUGH :)

What acne treatments and routines have worked for you?

I am medical student and have become interested in dermatology and I'm researching using many conduits. That being said I have seen a few individuals ranging in background, race etc. with acne problems and half the time, cold diagnosis doesn't work. Even seasoned dermatologist say it takes time to understand what works; its the people that tell you what to prescribe! I want to know about your skin treatments and routines. From scar treatments that have worked for you in conjunction with your acne treatments to curing full blown cases of acne vulgaris or acne without comedones. If you've seen a doctor for your acne, what were you diagnosed as, prescribed and did the treatment work? I understand this is somewhat private information but it could go a long way with helping another individual with their own personal bout with acne. I have 3rd party survey information but that doesn't give doctors a truly accurate idea of what works best as it is not that simple and they're often associated with a skin treatment retailer anyway. Only experience in what works does and I don't have that yet. Be honest and frank. If a popular product didn't work for you, say so but also include your usage. If you would miss a few treatments a month and so on. Of course diet and exercise have a lot to do with circulation of the blood to the skin, the amount of sebum one secrets and hormone levels so don't hold back any of that information too. I hope to get a big response as I would like to use this as a small sampling of testimonials from the simple to the complex.

Thanks in advance for your openness and participation!
