How long after having unprotected sex is it safe to start taking an antibiotic?
I always see questions asking how long after taking an antibiotic can you have unprotected sex again. But what If I had unprotected sex last night and was just prescribed an antibiotic that said it may affect the effectiveness of birth control. When is it safe to start taking the antibiotic with no risk of pregnancy?
How does drinking coffee every day affect your health?
I know lots of people, especially older people & teachers who drink @ least 3 mugs a day. Lots of people tell me that since I suffer anxiety, I shouldn't drink caffeine because it would increase the risk of a panic attack. I try to stay away from caffeine, even though I like coffee. I hardly drink it. But if I DO drink it, I usually have more cream & sugar in it than the coffee, itself.

How effective is the contraceptive pill when it comes to acne treatment?
How long would i have to use it to see the results, does it prevent new acne from forming and what are the side effects? I read somewhere it can cause breast and cervix cancer while also preventing ovarian, womb and bowel cancer, so i guess it does have some benefits, but am worried i might be at risk of getting cancer if i take it.

Does sun help get rid of body acne?
I have been suffering from awful back acne for the past 2-3 years, and some mild chest acne. Ironically, I have the odd zit on my face, other than that i'm clear.
It gets really bad in the winter, and in the summer it pretty much goes completely away.
So my question: Should I go tanning to help get rid of it? I've been scrubbing my back for months and it has helped, but it's still pretty bad.
Also, if I only go once or twice does that increase my risk of cancer?

I just read in a n article in a pregnancy magazine that using salycylic acid causes birth defects. Both my moisturizer and my toner and an acne spot treatment I use occasionally contain this. I went to the store and realized that almost ever acne cleanser, moisturizer and toner does. Does this mean that my child is at risk for defects? I'm 21 weeks and have always used the same CLean and CLear moisturizer adn Biore toner (both haev salicylic acid). What am I supposed to use on my face, I haven't stopped breaking out since I've been pregnant!!

basiklly im 5,5 and 14 my dad is 5,3 i thnk hes gone shorter hes like 40 yrs old he useto be 5,4 my mum is 5,3 bost of my mums and dads family are taller then them my mum s family is pritty tall like her bros and dad are 5,10 and her sister are 5,6 my dad 3 other bro are all 5,6 and the other 2 are 5,8 and so is my grandad my ethniticy is from bangladesh my mum lived in this country but my dad came to england when he was like 22 im seriously worying abvout my height because i seemed to finishj my main growth spurt because from 2007-2008 and like half way threw i grew like 6 inches and i think i grow like half an inch maybe some more in the last 2 months im worrying about my height and thinking about taking up growth hormone substances like lionell messi did i know there expensive but if they work they should be worth it i wanna be 5,8 and are there any risks and do you get risk because of overdose or just because u take them in the first place

How can 2 MD's, equal quals and experience, disagree on the value of Human Growth Hormone Therapy? Is it a question of lack of training, lack of post graduate study/reading? Lack of personal exposure? How can an ordinary individual make a determination about who is right and who is wrong (in this managed care environment and patient empowerment) , and how can an individual, who simply asks a physician, find himself subject to ridicule or even threat of discontinuation of care, and have to witness derogatory comments about so-called colleagues? And, how can some MD's deny the results of HGH even when "subjected" to documentation of positive results. And, finally, how can 1 or more MD's take the risk of a patients life when there is no personal evidence but rumour based on "coffee clatch conversation" , or legitimate papers of any negative side effects?
