How to clear skin that Proactiv damaged?

I see many people on here recommending Proactiv to people with acne/breakouts. I've been using Proactiv for a few months. My skin actually got worse. I've tried using the mask, I've tried lessening the number of times I used the scrub or repairing lotion a day/week. At first, my skin cleared up within the first two weeks, then I started getting abcess acne that is really painful. I'm just wondering if anyone has at home/natural treatments. Or even store-bought, gentle stuff. I have sensitive, acne prone skin. It was oily, but since I used Proactiv, it's now oily but flaky (with small scabs where my break-outs once were) So I guess you'd call my skin type combination. Is there anyone out there who has the same skin type as I do who uses something on a regular basis that works? Not something you used once before...but daily/weekly. If so, what is it and how often do you use it? Thank you all.

what is the best product to get rid of blackheads?

I use proactiv which works good for acne but I would like to buy a product specifically for blackheads. sometimes I get stubborn blackheads on my nose, chin, or cheeks, and sometimes they turn into big sore pimples.

What can i do to get rid of the blackheads before they turn into pimples (or just look gross)?

Can working out and weightlifting cause acne?

I never had acne before until I started weightlifting 6 months ago. Every time I worked out, my face felt extremely hot even thou I had appropriate rest and took plenty of water. Pimples came up 1 or 2 days after that and breakout all over my face.

I read some articles about it. They say that because weightlifting can raise the testosterone level, your hormones...that is needed to build muscle so it can developed acne. Not really because of sweating or anything else.

So I stopped working out after that. But acne is still all over my faces, and getting worse over the next 2 months. It took me 3 months, after trying many acne treatments like Acnefree and Proactiv, for my face to cleared up a little bit.

I'm happy at the result and I believe that Proactiv will control my breakouts. I decided to work out again. Then, acne comes back again. Not really that bad like before, but new breakout happens everytime after I worked out.

I really enjoyed weighlifting. What should I do now?

any skin doctors here who could help me?

i have had acne for 2 years. i first started getting small pimples when i was 12 and now i am 14. my breakouts have gotten MUCH worse!!!! are there any home remedies or treatments that you would recomend for me? i have tried SO many different washes and toners and creams and i do have oily skin. i did try proactiv but my dad canceled it because he said it cost to much. proactiv did make my skin dry, and i do have sensitive skin. one of my friends said that it was the main ingredient in proactiv that was making my skin dry. she said that benzoyl stuff was harsh on sensitive skin. i have tried diffierin and things but they didn't work for me. please help me, i want my skin to look good. i do wear makeup to school and stuff because my face looks awful without it. what should i do now? oh, i have another question...does stress and worry make skin break out? thank you for helping me.

I need something that really works. I've heard of SpectroJel and ProActiv and would like to know your opinions on these two. Any other treatments you know of are also appreciated. Thank you.

What is the best/fast acne treatment?

Nothing cheaper seems to work. It makes it worse or does nothing so Im scared to shell out for the more expensive products like Skin id or proactiv if they are not going to work and im out bucks or more. Ive used tee tree oil and it makes it worse for me, so please dont suggest that. If you can tell me anything, how long did it take to work. Thanks
