Whats a good & inexpensive facial exfoliater? (Best answer 10 points!!!)?
I've got like one, maybe two serious pimples, about five microscopic blackheads around & on my nose, but mostly my problem is all these skin colored bumps on:
*My forehead
*My cheeks
*My nose
*My temples
*My chin
But these are also very mild.
However, they are hard to get rid of. I talked to a Clinique professional and she told me:
~They might be from a) conditioner dripping down from my hair and not being completely washed off or b) they could have been a pimple being formed that then stopped itself
~To get rid of them, try exfoliating
I've started to only use conditioner on my ends. I wash my face twice a day, then use a toner, then moisturize with an oil-free moisturizer, then apply Clean & Clear Acne Spot Treatment in problem areas, which works for serious pimples, but not so much the skin-colored bumps or blackheads.
I would really like to clear up my skin before school starts (which is in 1 week) so any tips on what I can do?
I was thinking of steaming my face and then poping the blackheads, any comments on that?
Thxx♥
Btw, please don't reccomend anything that requires a prescription! And also, I was thinking of getting Clean & Clear Deep Cleaning Astrigent. Comments? Thxx again♥
Skincare routine for a teenager?
I would really like to know some good products for a teenager to use that WORK! I have really oily skin on my forehead, nose, and chin. Even if I wash my face, an hour later, it will most likely be oily again. I constantly have pimples on my forehead, and blackheads on my nose. Though my chin is oily, it doesn't tend to breakout as much, but it has recently. My cheeks don't usually have any zits, though sometimes they may get one or two. I would really like to have clear skin when school starts in a little over a month.
Currently, I use Clean & Clear Morning Burst Facial Cleanser and Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturizer. The face wash has almost run out so next I have a Cetaphil one to use. I have heard that I should be using:
-a gel or foam-based cleanser
-an alcohol-free toner
-an oil-free moisturizer with SPF for the daytime
-an oil-free moisturizer for the nighttime
-an acne spot treatment
-a weekly microbead exfoliator or acne masque
The questions I have are: What skin type do I have? (I think its combination-oily but I'm not sure) Do I really need to be using all of these kinds of products? What are good products to use that will help me have clear skin?
Feel free to add anything, but please don't tell me just to wait.
How can I get rid of acne?
I have really bad acne. I know how teens are supposed to get acne but mine is really bad. My friends get minimal blackheads and single zits sometimes but they just have to put ice on them to make it go away. I get whiteheads all over my face, back, chest, and upper legs. When I first started to get acne I used a generic cleanser and moisturizer to maintain a healthy complexion. Then the acne started to come more, and more and I added an on-the-spot medication to target the zits. That didn't seem to work because they just kept coming.
So far, I have used Stridex pads, products from Mary Kay: deep cleanser, moisturizer, blemish control toner, and acne treatment medication lotion, Proactiv: renewing cleanser, revitalizing toner, repairing lotion, daily oil control, oil free moisturizer, and the revitalizing mask, and some Biore products: blemish control toner, foaming cleanser, and exfoliating soap. None of them seemed to work.
I am currently using the Biore products. They felt like they were fighting the breakouts and made my face softer but zits still come regularly all over my face. I skipped one day and had my worst breakout ever.
I recently saw an ad for an improved Proactiv. I only gave the regular proactiv a couple months and it didn't work for me. Should I try out?
I really need help. I get teased because of my problem all the time. I am trying to eat healthy and I really need to drink water more. If there is any product that you recommend for a girl who has a serious whitehead problem, please tell me! I dont get any other kinds of breakouts, just whiteheads all over my body. Also give me any advice to have healthy skin. Thank you! :(
Would using an oil free moisturizer help with blackheads and acne? Ingredients to avoid?
I don't get pimples very much but I get blackheads, even on my body (like on breasts). For my face I do have oily/combination skin. I've realized my moisturizers have mineral oil in them. If I switch to oil free moisturizers and lotions, will that help? The blackheads on my nose are bad and never go away, I was thinking of getting those strips and starting up with new, oil free moisturizer.
Is the ingredient glycerin ok? I read that as an ingredient in an advertised oil free moisturizer from Biore, which I may try. Anyone know of other ingredients to avoid for keeping blackheads away?
Also, I'm an adult in my mid-twenties, so it's not just raging hormones.
Not using moisturizer isn't an option. Thanks for the other helpful information though
i just dont get it :P help please =)?

Is this too much for a 16 year old?
Is this a good skincare routine?
I have quite oily, spot-prone skin and I'm 16 so am told not to use too many products on my young skin.
Is this too much or just the right amount of products I should be using?
Morning:

Neutrogena's Visibly clear oil free moisturizer
Evening:
Neutrogena's Oil Free Acne Wash
Spot Treatment Gel
Once a week:
Neutrogena's Deep Clean Mask (to unclog pores
How to get clear skin in 2 weeks without buying any products?
Okay, so I have combination skin, and mild acne. I keep getting more pimples, and i get some in the same places i just got rid of a pimple in. I wash my fash 2 times a day, tone, and moisturize w/ an oil free moisturizer and acne washer/toner. I also use a benzoyl peroxide spot treatment - i have a 2.5% and a 10%. My pimples arent going away and i have been using this stuff for like a month now. Are there any homemade remedies that are found in like every home like toothpaste and lemons, but not rosewater or lavendar oil or clay. Plz I really don't want to buy stuff, but i need clear skin in like 2 weeks or sooner because I am sick of this skin. Any help appreciated!
I am willing to buy some products that are cheap, but I am really looking for home remedies. I have also already tried Proactiv and i was allergic to it.
still breaking out while on accutane?
U guys im so pissed, i've been on accutane for 5 monthes, and im starting my sixth month now but i still get huge red bumps on my skin that will turn into cysts, so im wondering, does it usually get bad in the end? and do all the blackheads go away or should i get a facial? plus can i use acne spot treatments for the huge red bumps so that they don't turn into cysts?
also, i am wondering howlong its gonna take for the red marks to disappear, cuz im in milwaukee and there is no such thing as a sun, so i get pale and uneven skin tone.
HELP!!!
btw, i use neutrogena stress free cleanser, and olay oil free moisturizer, i cleanse iin the morning and evening. so i take care of my skin.
I started out with 20 mg capsule one in mornin and one in evening (adds up to 40mg) then for the 2nd to 5th month i have been on 30 mg twice a day (60mg). Im turnin 21 in july so does age play into any of this. I am aware of all the obvious side effects so no need to lecture me, cuz this was a last resort i suffered long enough. I can see better skin definatley, my bak cleared up, and my skin doesnt have breakouts except on my cheeks. which was my major problem.
another thing :P when the cysts dry up after a couple of days they do pop by themselves i i guess its a natural procedure right? plus no one answered my question about the acne spot treatments... u know those little tubes that u put a dab on ur pimple..

My skin is terrible, I've tried everything; any advice?
I am 18 and my skin is very damaged. I do have acne, but it's not severe. The problem is the redness, inflammation, unevenness, dryness, ect. I can't leave the house without wearing makeup and I would love to have porcelin skin.
My routine is:
AM: Shower and exfoliate with Philosophy's Microdelivery Exfoliant. Then, I moisturize with Neutrogena's Oil Free Moisturizer and prime my face with Smashbox's Primer.
PM: I cleanse my face with Proactiv or Neutrogena's acne wash and use a spot treatment.
Nothing has ever helped. And I'm desperate.
