How long does it take the body to absorb calories?

I just want to know because I plan on eating something and purging it back up (throw up). For example let's say if it takes calories 10 minutes to be absorbed and I purge the food back up before that time limit will they be all gone
So I guess the question here is this if food is thrown up before the body has time to absorb nutrients and calories will the calories be gone from the body. Please no insults or preaching to me on how this is not a smart thing to do. I know all that crap

How do you know if you have chronic fatigue syndrome?

I ve been feeling a bit weak lately and somewhat sleepy and drained out. I was just wondering how do I know if I have chronic fatigue syndrome and what are the symptoms?
I had this problem since the year 2004, but my doctors couldnt figure it out. Three of my doctors were involved and each one told me a different situation. One of them being my sleep specialist believe it was sleep apnea and perodic limb movement sndrome, the 2nd one as my internal medicine doctor believed that my thyroid could be low, and the 3rd one being my acupuncturist believed that my body isnt recieving the nutrients that I need and thus no energy. So, basically I dont know what is the main symptom that is causing me to become weak and making me sleep long hours.
I have tried provigil and it did work for a bit then after 2 weeks later I got immune to the medicine and it stopped working for me.

How would severe starvation be treated in a hospital?

I need a DETAILED account of how someone with severe (near death) starvation would be treated in a hospital. I know it would involve introducing nutrients little by little. How long would it take until the person (female young adult) is COMPLETELY healthy again? What would the entirety of the treatment involve?
Also, what symptoms would be present at different times of treatment?

How do I go on a vegan diet and still get all the nutrients I need?

One of my friend's family has gone on a vegan diet. I did some research on vegans and it sounds like a great way to eat, but how do you still get all the nutrients? Without meat how are you getting protien and calcium without the dairy? How do you know if somethings processed or not? I honestly know just about nothing about food (calories, fiber, or what any of this really is) so i need it straight forward please. Thanks.

How long until I see results from my work out routine?

I'm starting out small, with 3 sets of 10 dumbbell Flys, 3 sets of 10 bicep curls and hammer curls, and 5 sets of 20 sit ups. My problem is I have a eating problem and I rarely have an appetite, so I don't get much protein or nutrients. How will this effect the results I'm trying to get?

Infant formula, Cow Milk and Autism?

First, my proposition and reasoning:

1. Human milk contains a nutritional balance unique to humans, including, most importantly for my proposal, hormones like oxytocin that encourage bonding, trust and love.

2. Infant formula contains similar nutrients but they are altered from their natural state, thus altering the natural state of the infant.

3. Cow milk contains a nutritional balance, including hormones that encourage the emotional growth of cows.

4. Humans should have a deeper emotional breadth and depth than cows. Autistic humans have an emotional life much closer to cows than humans.

Which leads me to the proposal:

Infant formula + Cow Milk - Breast Milk = Autism

I am well aware that even if this summation approaches the truth, it is oversimplified. This leads me to my questions:

What are your opinions on this issue? Are you aware of any long-term studies on the effects of infant formula, cow milk, and breast feeding on autism?

According to my various google searches, people are more concerned whether infant formula contains gluten than if it contains the very chemicals that will turn their child into a human being: Backward priorities? Misinformation on an institutional level?

I'm sorry if I sound crass, but people don't seem to know or care why we are slowly dying as a species...

How is the HIV virus passed into the body tissues from the blood?

When someone catches the HIV virus into their bloodstream they could pass it on to others via their bodily fluids. But how does HIV get into their bodily fluids in the first place? For example, how does the virus get from the capillaries into an organ like the testicles and therefore how does it infect the semen? Is it by diffusion like nutrients or what?

FOOD+SLEEP+MENTAL & PHYSICAL WELL BEING=Taller?

Now i understand that there is no food or magic pill that makes people get taller. GENES play a major role in a persons height as well but i dont think its everything.

1st issue is SLEEP children are expected to take nap times during the day and always have a full night of sleep which is 8hours+ for adults and even more for toddlers children and TEENAGERS. teenagers concern doesnt typicaly revolve around growth or health in general with the exception of athletes*. because they like to think of themselves as grown ups starting to make decisions or just busy in general investing their energy on their "future" because what you do during your teenage years can highly influence what will become of you. Pilates also stretches bones and the body catches up with the gap although i am not sure of this. i think it influences your day height and night height..

Going back to the athletes. From observation as i grew up i saw my growth pattern and theirs. I was more attentive about the subject of height because i was falling behind with friends and classmates. My friends who played sports such as soccer tennis and swimming turned out tall. their metabolism was enhanced from the sport and they ate more that me but they burned more aswell. I was active aswell so i did not fall too far behind. Elongation of lower body depended on which sports kids were involved in. the sports i mentioned required running. Also i learned that it is unadvisable for younger kids to start doing straining excersises such as body building as it causes the bones to stop growing because the muscle and weight being put to fragile bone may stop or cause shrinking, In short be physically active routinely but dont strain your body by carrying or pushing heavy objects or other activities as such.

Now FOOD there is no specific diet. this is also what i need help with. I do understand the importance of some vitamins and nutrients such as b1 b6 b12 calcium iron protiens amino acids etc.HORMONES a big part relates to this aswell but release depends on mental well being aswell such as mood. I do believe that human growth hormone is released under optimum conditions affected by factors i have listed.

For the FOOD i need people who can actually explain to me the building blocks of each food item such as an apple or milk that have strong ties with growth. I know the carbs and protiens. its hard to explain the question i am asking for. I guess i am just tired of yahoo answers list of unproductive talk about "getting taller"

I wrote this to share what i know so people can stop asking similar questions and getting similar stupid best answers that say its all about the genes.

MY QUESTION IS

Can a DOCTOR or someone knowledgeable in the field of anatomy/biology tell us the crucial information about human development i guess but not put it into simple terms such as eat green vegetables/ drink milk. PLEASE evaluate in specific and smaller micro things. For example talk about the Flour and the starches and krebs cycle well just tell me a list of food items and where it ends up in my body composition. I eat an egg=its protien body takes it and uses its molecules to form and repair a cut...

Please excuse my grammar and spelling because i am half asleep ranting about this. THANKS to all who respond.
