Question about accutane?
I have had persistent acne since I was in about 5th grade. I am a senior in high school now. I was on minocycline and tetracycline at different times, and I have been on Bactrim for the past year. Bactrim has definitely been the most effective treatment so far. It has cleared my face up to a certain degree. I still end up with little patches here or there consistently. Few pop up, go away, then more come in a different spot. I don't think I'm as consistent with taking the bactrim as I could be though.
Even though my acne has gotten much better than previously, I am still so tired of having to deal with never having a completely clear face. It has been such a long time.. I now have plenty of acne scars, which is just awesome... and I don't want to continue. I just want to have a perfectly clear face, for once.
I went to the dermatologist about a month ago, and she set me up to start going on accutane a month from that. The last time I had a visit to the derm, she was the one that had suggested I should try accutane. I have been pondering it for months, and this last time I decided I would do it. My derm said that basically being on Bactrim for a long time could be just as risky as being on Accutane, so I mine as well try something new & more effective. So, I am supposed to be starting accutane in 10 days. I have to get bloodwork done a few days beforehand.
There is, however, still time for me to back out of it. I was planning to go get bloodwork done tomorrow morning, but I have been reading really negative reviews and it's really making me second guess my decision- once again.
I just want to know if you think it would be worth it and what your personal experiences have been. I'm afraid of the long-term side effects.

What is spinal anesthetic and how does it work?
I'm wondering as I'm getting surgery tomorrow on my leg, and decided to go with a spinal instead of a nerve block. I'm wonder what it consists of, how much it hurts, what are the biggest risks.
I choose this instead of the nerve block due to having severe nausea last time with it and minor nerve problems (numbness going on about 5 months now).

Okay so I'm 14 and I've had pretty clear skin other than the usual couple breakouts here and there. But recently, like a couple weeks ago I decided to use this new face wash..clean and clear continuous control acne cleanser. It had like 10% benzyol peroxide In it. I used it for two days, once in the morning and before i went to sleep and on the third day i noticed that my face was swollen and red and had like little red bumbs on it. I got an allergic reaction to it. Eventually the rash cleared up p after a few days..but now my skin is starting to break out.
I forgot to mention that my usual cleanser is the clinique three step thing. I'm back to using that now bu ti don't see any results. My forehead is filled with like tiny skin colored pimples and I tried putting the clean and clear spot treatment thing on it but Tit only caused the skin colored pimples to turn pink. I have two pimples on my chin, and i have a lot of other whiteheads around my face. So does anyone have a solution to this? My skin is extremmlllyyyyy sensitive so I don't wanna use something harsh on my face that'll make me get a n allergic reaction like last time.
Oh and i also forgot to mention that i wear cover-up to try and cover the pimples, but when i get home i feel dirty and oily and wash my face again, but then i wash it again before i go to bed as well. Ive just started doing that recently, and vie noticed my skin becoming rougher and breaking out more. Can someone please give me advice on what to do? I want clear skin soo bad,,I haven't been able to concentrate on nay of my school work because if this ://
I have neutrgena deep cleaning cleanser at home, should i try using that? Or would it be too risky and cause my face to develop an allergic reation? And are there anyways to get rid of a pimple over night?
can i start using birth control pills without waiting for my period for this month?
i'd been on bcp for almost 4 years, but i didn't take one for this month. the last time i stopped taking bcp, i didn't have my period for 2 months and then my face started breaking-out. the sooner i had my period that time, i took the pill again and my face got a lot better.
now, i should be getting my period but nothing's coming out. the worst part is, my face is breaking out again! :( i used all anti-acne treatments known to mankind but nothing's doing the job.. the only treatment that works for me is bcp.. i can't wait for another month or until i get my period start again coz my face's getting worst.. :(
is it bad for my body or will it mess up my hormones if i start taking bcp without waiting for my period to come?
How much alcohol does one need to drink to get brain damage?
I am 21 years old. I have drank alcohol about 10 times or so. The last time I drank was a year ago. I never want to have a drop of alcohol again because I have heard it causes brain damage.
Do you think I have brain damage from drinking 10 times? I have had a few nights in which I did not remember everything.
How many times does one need to drink alcohol before having permanent brain shrinkage/damage?

ok so im going to a party tonight and first of all i woke up and i have this HUGE disgusting ZIT on my chin! it looks so noticeable and DISGUSTING! and its all red and raised and gross. there was another one on my forehead but i covered it up with my bangs. ive tried putting ice on it, asprin on it, toothpaste on it, acne spot treatment on it, and everything but its not doing anything! and i really dont want to do that cuz last time i got a huge red zit i did that and it just got worse. so what the heck am i supposed to do! i cant stay home. this is gonna be like THE best party EVER. and i cant just ignore it. all my friends have clear skin and my boyfriends gonna be there and i know he wont care that much but SERIOUSLY!!!! =( im 14 and i cant go by the store and get any green concealer or any other spot treatment. =( ive already tried covering it up with like 5 layers of concealer+foundation+powder and it looks a liiiittttllle better but its still noticeable. PUULLLEEEZZZEEEE help me! i only have 2 more hours till i have to go.
and then i didnt get much sleep last night at alll and so i woke up and i have FRREAAAKKIIIN BIG EYE BAGS AND UNDER EYE CIRCLES! so i put about 7 layers of concealer on them and it covered up the circles for the most part but theres still this oh so fine dark line that indicates EYE BAGS....NO 14 YEAR OLD HAVE THAT BIG OF FREAKIN EYE BAGS! ive tried putting ice on them and cold spoons and it helped a lil but now their back to normal. so i think im just gonna drink as much water as i can in the next two hours...so any tips PLEEEASE?!?!? ok im not freakin out too much here but i mean...i really wanted to look pretty tonight. i would appreciate ANY help AT ALL!!!! thanks!
