How does drinking hot water cleanse your system?

I've heard people say that drinking hot water is better for you than drinking cold water because the hot water cleanses your body. But how is that possible? Because I would think that whatever you drink would become the same temperature as your stomach once it gets there. It's not like that ice cold water is going to go all through your veins.

How do you get rid of this kind of big, swollen pimple?

I have this huuge painful zit right under my nose from whiping/blowing it because of allergies. Its the kind that's under the skin, inflamed, red and hurts a lot. It reminds me of a cyst more than a pimple, but its not quite that bad. I've tried putting hot water on it to make it come to a head but it still hasn't.
My mom suggested putting rubbing alcohol or isopropyl alcohol on it to kill the bacteria inside. All that did was make a top later of skin flake off on it. I wash my face twice a day with a facial cleanser and don't normally get acne, so I'm not ever sure how to treat these kinds of zits.

Is there any treatment, home remedies, over the counter product to help get rid of this pimple/cyst thing? Its really painful when i laugh or smile due to the awkward location of it, so any advice would be great.

Thanks in advance

I don't know what to do, its driving me mad!!!?

Basicly, my mum is in a wheelchair, and until I was 4 we used to have carers come and help us at home because my dad worked long hours. Then the carers stopped and the house started falling apart.

Most rooms no longer have carpets. We have a half refurbished bathroom and a quarter refurbished kitchen. The only source of hot water is the electric shower in the bathroom. Alot of windows are broke and there's lots of drafts in are house. We have no working boiler so we rely on electric heaters and the energy bill is soaring through the room. The house is the most disable unfriendly house ever. The walls are chipping and I can't take it anymore. We have an oven, but no hob so I pretty much survive on half oven baked food half micromeals The house is a mess too, because dad's meant to be refurbishing the house, but he always starts it and then puts it off. I haven't had my room painted all my life, infact, the only new piece of furniture in my room is a desk, apart from that the rest has been in here all my life. (It was my brother room till he left)

I've said to my parents why can't we move. I've broken down into tears infront of my dad because of this house. Both my parents have at one point said they would love to mvce but they always go back on there word and will never admit it to each other, even when I try to get them to at dinner time. It's got to the point before where I felt there was no point in getting out of bed.

Its annoying, we live really close to Blenheim Palace, We live on prime development land. There's loads of fancy estates next to our house, they even made an offer but my dad didn't tell us till it had expired. I can tell if the council saw my house me and my sister would be taken away.

Is there anything I can do to force my parents to move. I can't take this house anymore!
Oh and by the way. We live in the UK, and for a new boiler it would cost minimum £8000 and we'd have to have the floor boards ripped up.
@shutupyahface

that was a true detail, you dont know the situation, i just wanted advice, not a stuck up know it all insulting me. Its true, a new boiler installation would cost £8000 we had a quote from a engineer. So "shutupyahface" yourself.

ACNE HELP? PLEAAAAAAAAAASE !?

First off, I'm 16 years old in about 3 weeks (grade 10). I've been fighting with acne ever since i got my period which was in grade 6. So i was 11/12 years old. For about 5 years straight, acne has been my worst enemy.

My forehead is sort of oily and i get flakes and sometimes it becomes dry. My acne in grade 8 and 9 was terrible! Not severe, but it was all red and just really noticeable.

I have tried OUZO (greek alcohol) on my skin which dried my acne out but it was not for long term.
I have also tried Clean And Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment but all it did was give me more acne.

For about three-four months now, I have been using the Proactiv kit. It has greatly reduced my acne but it didn't make it disappear. After a month and a half, i basically just use it once every week just because i lost faith in it.

Two weeks ago, i read an article online that said washing your hair with hot water then with cold water made it shiner. So, for two weeks i've been doing that. My acne vanished! It was gone! I was so happy and i thought i finally was DONE with acne. That happiness didn't last for long. Exams were this whole week so i was obviously stressed, and my acne came back. I have 1 red spot on my forehead, 4 red spots on my right cheek, 2 red spots on my nose, and 1 red spot on my left cheek. They are all RED and noticeable.

I cried today just because they came back. Acne really brings my self-esteem down sometimes.

Anyways, today i steamed my face for about 10 minutes and then i used Proactiv cleanser and the mask that came with it. I'm going to see my results tomorrow morning.

Should i continue to steam my face then use proactiv cleanser+mask, or no? If my results come out bad what SHOULD i start doing? Any products or tricks that anyone knows of? please help me!

All answers are greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking your time to read this!

PS. I eat very healthy. I have not had any junk food for about a week now. My moms is Greek so she uses olive oil on all the food she makes. We never use vegetable oil..even for fries! And shes a great chef so her food is not a problem. The only thing i lack on is water. I probably drink two glasses per day. & My hair is not oily, and i try my best to keep my hands off my face.
