Acne and Dry skin??????

Hello everyone.
I'm an 18 year old guy with some mild acne, and a dry skin. I tried many products like Maxclarity, ProActive, Tetracycline, and many other less effective treatments. Nothing really helped. So my question is, well actually i got few questions. They are:

1. How can I prevent my skin from getting dry? Like what creams or treatments I can use.
2. How can I actually get rid of Acne? Some examples of your home remedies or treatments you used.
3. How can I make acne less noticeable?

Also maybe I should try Acutane or Ibuprofen for acne? Thanks everyone for your help!

Birth control options? Problems??? 10 points!!!!?

Hello everyone,

I went on Sprintec (generic of Ortho Cyclen) March of 2009. My first period on it was horrendous but then it was fine until July. I had spotting like crazy, constant nausea, headaches, and my breasts were lactating.

I went to my primary care dr about everything. After blood tests, it was found that my prolactin (what makes pregnant women lactate) was abnormally high. I stopped taking the pill and the prolactin levels went down in the normal range but are still a little high.

Since stopping the pill i have had irregular periods (not a problem prior to BC), severe cramping, horrible acne that won't clear up, and have been extremely moody during PMS. HORRIBLE! I have been off the pill for 5 cycles but it feels like time only makes things worse.

I saw a gyno that specializes in hormone therapy stuff. She said I should try the Nuva Ring. She gave me a free sample and said I'd love it. Due to my last experience on birth control I am a little hesitant to start this. Does anyone know about the Nuva Ring or any other options that have worked for you as birth control and to help PMS symptoms?

Thank you!

Would Human Growth Hormone help?

Hello everyone, Im 19 years old and only 5'5. I remember being shorter my whole life, not that much though. Now im kinda scared because my friends, cousins, brothers all stand around 5"8 to 6"1. It sucks. Lol. I dont ever remember having any major growth spurts, and I believe males grow until the age of 23 or 24...something like that. I was wondering if anyone knew if HGH would help me put on the desired couple of inches I need.

P.S.
I am physically in shape, cut, and sleep ALWAYS at least 8 hours a night. Excercise daily, 64 0z of water a day...so im pretty healthy...just not tall. Lol.

Thanks!!!

Chuck

Should I moisturize my skin?

Hello, everyone.

I'm a guy, and I've been battling acne for a long time now. I worked my way through all the treatments, and eventually went to the dermatologist and she wrote me a prescription for Epiduo. I use that, along with a Neutrogena face wash and exfoliator - I also use the Proactiv overnight mask on big zits.

Now, I would classify myself as having oily skin, I think. Around my nose, especially the cheeks under my eyes, I have large pores and VERY oily skin. However, my cheeks and jaw area are the opposite. They get extremely dry from the medications I use, to the point where dry and flaky skin is noticeable from a distance. I've tried exfoliating, not using lotion there, even not washing it, but it stays really dry. I've always shied away from moisturizers because I do NOT want my "t-zone" to get any more oily. I was wondering, however, if I could just use moisturizer on the dry areas and leave my nose the way it is? Now that I can control my acne (to an extent) I'm trying to focus on having healthy looking skin.

PS: Are there any little home treatments I might be able to use to reduce the size of my pores? I don't think it's a huge deal, however. My parents say I have large pores and an oily nose area because I'm part Italian.

Thanks, everyone.

What cleanser, toner and moisturizer to use for moderate acne?

Hello everyone, I am suffering from moderate acne and ive been trying to clear it up for many years now. I tried acne free severe, tooth paste, and other cleansers, but it hasnt helped too much.

I am planning on buying the neutrogena acne wash for cleansing, but I would like to know what toner and moisturizer to buy with it. At this point in time i use clean and clear acne 3-1 face wash. It makes my skin very dry and im not sure if its even helping too much.
