What kind of acne medicine is the best?
I am 32 and I've never ever had issues with acne. Even when I went through puberty I never had acne. I am now getting it and I hate it. I have tried using Clean and Clear w/no luck. I generally will put Neosporin on them after I've gotten out the yuck. Since I've never had to deal with it I have no idea what kind of acne medicine is the best. Is there a prescription spot treatment that works well or any other treatment that you've had good luck with? Does Proactive really work or no? I am really hating my skin right now for the 1st time ever and I want to fix it now. Thanks for any information you can give me. :)
i know this isnt a question…but if you have trouble with acne/pimples please click on this!!!?
if your looking for a good affordable drugstore cleanser for acne then stay here! so yes i know this isnt a question...but i just wanted to get this out there to people...im a "normal" teenage girl and i suffer from teen acne (puberty obviously). im embarrassed by my skin. ive tried a bunch of different drugstore facial cleaners, moisturizers, toner, etc. none of them have worked for me. not cetaphil, clean and clear..anything really. i have to pay for my own products btw. i was thinking about ordering pro active when my mom told me she heard some good things about "Neutrogena Advanced Solutions Complete Acne Therepy System". so i went to walgreens.com and they said they were having a sale on it. 19.99$. plus it comes with a litle clear acne spot treatment thing. (btw i have extreeeeemely oily skin) so i got it yesterday...washed my face and did the step by step and did it again this morning...my skin ALREADY looks great. its brought out the color and texture in my skiin as well as reduced my breakouts. of course my skin isnt fully cleared but im going to continue to use this and i cant wait to see how my skin looks in about a week. =) take my advice and TRY THIS STUFF OUT while the sale is still going at walgreens! good luck!
Would you like to add anything to these tips?
Tips for acne sufferes;
I've had acne for many years. It's gone from severe to naturally mild, but now it looks clear only because of the things i do to keep aclear face.
There are two ways to keeping your skin clear looking;
1) keeping acne away
Great systems for severe acne are- Acne free or Neutrogena Advanced acne therapy system (proactive is crappy trust me)
for mild/moderate-oxy is a great line and even has a satisfaction guarentee sticker on it/ St.Ivesaprocate scrub with salysicacid
taking hot baths deepcleans pores & afterwards splash freezing water on face to close pores. (over washing produces more oil in the skin which means more sebum)
2) Healing afterwards
Scabs drive us crazy because they make our face look red so i have tips on how to heal quickly.
Buy vitamin e ointment to apply daily directly on scab. Drink Arthur's smoothies because they are jammed packed with vitamins and other essentials that the body uses to heal faster+ less acne can be possible.
eat fruits as well to keep skin healthy and glowing. Take hot baths to help life of scab shorten.
Advanced/Cheap ways to get rid of big pimples:
Aspirin mask is wounderful:)
Just take 10 of them and put it on at nightime before bed leaveon for an hour then wash off and the results should be noticable.
Neutrogena rapid clear spot treatment is the best one i've used, so far so try that one.
&& good luck.
Also think positive because less stress=less acne..
i'd also like to add some covering up tips.. Buy a green concealing pen to take away redness and then put your normal powder over it and it'll match skin tone well.
you can get the natural vitamine e ointment at the drug store in the pharmacy section.
