Question about acne treatment?

I am asking this question again because the answers I got before were either not helpful, or I wasn't sure if certain treatments were reputable.

I have nodular type acne which actually hasn't been so bad lately. Now the biggest problem is that anything I use turns my face red and makes it dry. I can't use moisturizer or even water on my face without it burning or turning red. I thought about acutane, but I have no insurance and the pharmacist just told me that it costs over 1,000 dollars for a 30 day supply and the generic brand is 400 dollars. She also told me that there are a lot of lawsuits on the stuff because of birth defects, liver problems and psychotic episodes, so even if I had the insurance, it probably wouldn't be a good idea to use it. Can anyone please tell me what I can use that will help with the acne and clear up the redness?

With no luck, I've already tried:
neutrogena
clean and clear
benzoil peroxide
apple cider vinegar
baking soda
sea breeze
panoxyl
cetaphil
and just plain old spot treatment.
zitdr_02- I went to the dermatologist and she was the one who told me I would need accutane. I couldn't use it because I was breastfeeding. Now that I know more about it, I wouldn't want it anyways.
Anyone know anything about MaxClarity or AcneAce?

Does anyone use Proactive for acne?

Hello! I have seen the infommercials over and over again but Im still afraid to spend that much money. Does anyone use it now? Does it really work as good as they say it does? I have tried so many things that dont work and dry my skin out, even prescription acne treatments. I dont know if Proactive would work the same as everything else. Ive also seen a generic brand of it at Walmart, has anyone tried it? Thanks for any help.
