DIABETIC MAN – The Animated Series
Made by a diabetic for diabetics and anyone who knows someone with diabetes, which seems to be just about EVERYONE these days! By the animator of Twilight and House md, this was created to educate about the dangers of diabetes and it's symptoms in a humorous way. If I get good feedback and maybe a sponsor, I would be happy to create further episodes with more lessons. Created by Toonsmyth Productions 2010 by Myk Friedman. All rights reserved.
How long does it take for a person to die from cirrhosis?
I know this is sort of a morbid question, and one there's really no answer to unless you are God, but I thought I'd give it a shot anyway. My mom was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver in June of 2005. The doctors gave her little time to live, yet she's been here for two years longer than what they gave her. At the time they said she had 2% liver function left. How do you think it's possible for someone to live that long with supposedly 2% of their liver? I'm not a doctor so I don't understand it.
She was very close to dying...she already has muscle waste and they drained 6 liters of fluid from her abdomen because her liver couldn't handle it.
How can you clear a blocked artery without surgery or angioplasty?
How does someone with a huge fear of needles, surgery, Doctors and hospitals clear a blocked Artery??
How long does it take for inflammation around the heart take to heal?
My partner has been suffering with severe chest pain since July 31st, and was in hospital for 2 days on monitor. Almost 2 weeks later he is still experiencing the same pain and has been told by doctors to have nurofen 3 times a day. (Not helping) How long is this going to carry on? And is it normal to wake up through the night in a bad sweat? Been happening now for 3 nights.
How do people with severe life threatening allergies figure out that they have that allergy?
If somebody is seriously allergic to something, serious meaning exposure to this item is life threatening. How do those people figure out that they have that allergy? Do they just get exposed and it's figured out then or are their warning signs that Doctors can see? Because if their exposed they can possibly die or get seriously sick. So is their a way to tell before an exposure happens?
How long can you wait to get a kidney infection checked out?
Well my girlfriend says her kidney is bothering her, and they've been hurting really badly right now. I want her to go to the hospital but she wants to wait 7 hours to go to her doctors in the morning. She's been having problems all day like peeing blood and her kidneys hurting, how long is to long?
How long does it take fluconazole to cure a yeast infection?
Ever since the end of may i have had pain during sex. Finally last week i went to the doctors and on friday my results came in and i have a yeast infection. My doctor prescribed me fluconazole. on sunday i had sex and it still hurt. by having sex, it is the only way to tell if i still have it since i have no other symptoms. how long does it usually take for the yeast infection to fully heal? i'm guessing it was pretty bad since i've had pain during sex since may..

How do you deal with the urges to self harm if other substitutes do not work?
I had self harmed for a very short period of time several months ago, but when it got to the point where I caused serious damage, I stopped.
Since then, I've been resisting the urges, with success so far - but that resistance is starting to wear out. Distractions do not work - it does not help if I do something else.
I am not willing to talk to anyone about this, i.e. teachers, doctors, parents, siblings... etc.
So how do you deal with the urges to self harm if substitutes don't work?
How do doctors react when a patient tells them that they cut themselves?
I'm not sure if anyone will have an answer for this but I was wondering how doctors react to hearing that their patient cuts themselves? I ask because I'm considering telling my doctor and I was just trying to see what type of reaction I could expect. Does anyone have any person experience with this that they would be willing to share? It would be greatly appreciated.
Also for anyone who's told their parents, how do they react too?
