Success stories with these acne treatments?

I am fourteen years old, and unfortunately bad acne runs in my family. I have had acne since the fifth grade when I was around ten years old. At the moment I have moderate/mild acne on my face, back, chest, and neck, and I fear it's spreading to my stomach, arms, and legs as well.

I have been to two different dermatologists, and I have these medicines:
-Tazorac Cream
-Cepharil Lotions/Moisturizers
-BenzaClin cream
-ProActive

I've been using all of them on and off and either I'm not doing something right or they don't work. Does anyone have suggestions or success stories of using any of those medications?

Help! DRY IRRITATED skin Epiduo?

Ok, so i've been using Epiduo for about 2 weeks now. It's been clearing up my acne but leaving irritated, EXTREMELY dry skin. My dermatologists prescribed me to use epiduo once every night and Benza clin once every morning. I also use Neutragena Oil-free acne wash 2 times a day before i use the epiduo and benza clin. It leaves me with severe irritated and dry, flaky skin. I use a little bit of medication for my acne under my chin area and its also left a BIG red rash down my neck. it doesnt itch but feels alot like a sunburn. I've been using Aloe Vera 20-30 times a day on my face because im sick and tired of going to school and people staring at my face and asking "what's wrong with your face?" its embarassing and it bothers me. PLEASE HELP!
Foundation? Where can I get foundation (i'm a guy)

listen, i know you probably have seen tons of questions asking about acne but i am honestly at ends meet... I've done everything everyone told me. i wash my face twice a day, put the dermatologist medicine on it, take antibiotics, wear the nuetrogena skin clearing makeup, and wash it on as soon as i get home from school... and its getting worse, i just keep breaking out... i need help, and all three dermatologists haven't helped, can you tell me any products that really helped you, and any treatments... btw i already give myself mud masks and once a month get a facial.... i need help desperately
i have already tried proactive and it didn't really work for me.. and i will try to get rid of stress but i really don't know how

Dermatologist treatments and acne medication?

Hey guys,

I have never been to see a dermatologist but am considering it. I use Proactiv and although it works for me, i still do get occasional breakout which I am looking to get rid of! I am wondering a few things:

1) Would acne medications prescribed by my doctor interfere with Alesse (birth control pill)? I will talk to her about this but the office is closed until Monday and I am just looking for information until then.

2) Is dermatological care covered under Ontario's (Canada) health care plan?

3) Does anyone here recommend any treatments done by dermatologists that greatly improved their skin?

Thank you for all answers, again, I will be talking to my doctor and getting a referral, etc., I just would like stories of experience first.

How can I get rid of my embarrassing acne?!?

I have had acne for probably 10 years now. I have been to probably about 15 different dermatologists over the years. I have been on literally every single prescription legally prescribed in the USA for acne. I have been put on several different types of birth control pills over the years because they said that sometimes helps. I have no diseases or anything that might interfere with treatment. I have tried over the counter stuff, home remedies. I drink about 80 ounces of water a day. I exercise pretty regularly. I take a mulitvitamin everyday. I am extremely clean. I have good personal hygiene. I wash my sheets, pillowcases, etc at least once a week. Literally, NOTHING has helped me at all. I have tried every different treatment option for long enough, 4 or 5 months was the shortest time before I gave up on a treatment. I am soooooo depressed, angry, and embarrassed about my acne. It's really bad. I don't pick at it either like some people do. Someone please help me. I don't know what to do anymore. ANY advice would be greatly appreciated.

Retin-A, will it work?

My dermatologists just prescribed Retin-A 0.05% for my burn scar. It is a second degree burn and I want the pigment in my skin to come back. I told him that I want the strongest burn cream he has, even if its expensive and he told me this cream might work. So I bought some for day and night. However, when I got home and did a little research on the product, I realized it's an acne treatment. I have not found one person that has used it for a burn scar or to help loss of pigment. Do you think it will work?
