Question about accutane?

I have had persistent acne since I was in about 5th grade. I am a senior in high school now. I was on minocycline and tetracycline at different times, and I have been on Bactrim for the past year. Bactrim has definitely been the most effective treatment so far. It has cleared my face up to a certain degree. I still end up with little patches here or there consistently. Few pop up, go away, then more come in a different spot. I don't think I'm as consistent with taking the bactrim as I could be though.
Even though my acne has gotten much better than previously, I am still so tired of having to deal with never having a completely clear face. It has been such a long time.. I now have plenty of acne scars, which is just awesome... and I don't want to continue. I just want to have a perfectly clear face, for once.
I went to the dermatologist about a month ago, and she set me up to start going on accutane a month from that. The last time I had a visit to the derm, she was the one that had suggested I should try accutane. I have been pondering it for months, and this last time I decided I would do it. My derm said that basically being on Bactrim for a long time could be just as risky as being on Accutane, so I mine as well try something new & more effective. So, I am supposed to be starting accutane in 10 days. I have to get bloodwork done a few days beforehand.
There is, however, still time for me to back out of it. I was planning to go get bloodwork done tomorrow morning, but I have been reading really negative reviews and it's really making me second guess my decision- once again.
I just want to know if you think it would be worth it and what your personal experiences have been. I'm afraid of the long-term side effects.

Thanks(: !

Use zeno on sensitive skin?

Ok i am very pale and half a pink undertone to my skin. My skin is very sensative and have been afraid to leave the house because of horrible red inflamed pimples made worse by certain harsh acne spot treatments... As of now I am using neutrogena face wash, origins moisturizer, and epiduo gel (dermatologist prescribed) for a spot like treatment. I still get stubborn pimples that dont seem to go away so I just got a zeno. I have tried it on my arm and I feel it reallly hot... i dont know if that is how it is supposed to feel or if this is just me. I don't know whether to try it or not because of the prescribed gel... It is one thing on my arm and another on my sensative face. THe instructions say to contact my derm if i am using any prescribed topical treatments but I also want to know any past experiences that may help with my problem. Help!
hmm... i called my derm and they said to prolly not use it. I plan on returning it

Dermablend/alternative to cover body acne?

I suffer from moderate back and chest acne even though my face is relatively clear, I'm working on clearing it and seeing a derm soon but nothings working so far, and I desperately need it to be less noticable for next week when I have to wear a dress (and no luck finding a dress which completly covers it either so don't bother telling me to get a new one)
So I've heard about dermablend and wondering about how useful it is for covering the spots and scars on my back and chest, how can I check that it's the right skin-tone for me?
Or is there an alternative that I can buy IN THE UK

thanks in advanced

How do I remove black heads and acne bumps on nose as well as acne scarring? plz help?

I have went a derm and it did remove a lot of my acne but the acne scarring is still there. I also have these acne bumps and blackheads on my nose!!! It won't go away. I bought this netrogena toner which has salicylic acid in it. Is there anything else that will help?
those biore strips are expensive and I heard they only do a half job and some say their great but I think it's too much for what it will do.
Instead of going in to do a facial couldn't I just buy a facial kit?
THey pull those blackheads but i heard it leaves scarring!!
so i don't want to do that again.
will MICRODERMABRASION be very helpful or not really?

Does it remove hair? Does the acne return if so how long before it does and @ what intensity...will itr dry out my skin and cause wrinkles? will it worsen acne @ first? How many treatments are typically nec? is 5 2 expensive? also does it leave scars??does it remove scars?? My dad is extremely skeptical of the procedure what will make him change his mind? also do doctors recieve a commision on this cuz there's so much solicitation and no critacism? please help thanks!!! additionally please don't copy n paste s/t from another website bec ive seen almost all of them.

Acne treatment plan – causing extremely dry skin.?

Background INfo: Pretty bad acne scattered around my face, 15 yrs old 125 lbs 5'7.5 male

I went to the derm and was prescribed an antibiotic pill for morning and night and Bensaclin (topical gel) and Retin-a (.5%). I am pale and have pretty sensitive skin.

Third day using the products, and I know it takes 6-8 weeks to see any result, but w ill I get results... anyways..

I get home, wash face, take a shower, get out, look at my face and its dried out and flakey all over and "peely" like I am recovering from a BAD sunburn look. I've been using a moisturizer TWICE a day to keep my face not too dried out and its not cutting it.

Is this normal? Should I start using 1 product a day (derm said to do if it gets too bad)? Or is this a common effect when you start using retin-a?*

I also use a very non drying cleaner for my face.. any advice in general on anything i've said in this post would be appreciated.. Also keep in mind im going to school (all boys though:P) thanks!

opening and closing pores???

okay i just got an acne spot treatment from my derm. i usually wash my face with warm water, pat dry it and then put the spot treatment.

soo... im pretty confused.. do i wash my face, with my cleanser, with hot (not extremely hot) water. then close my pores with cold water/ ice, then put my acne spot treatment??

or.... do i wash my face with hot water, and not close my pores and just add the spot treatment to my open pores?

sorry if im confusing you.... just wondering
