How do I eat well during the holidays?
I am going to my dads house over Christmas and will be going to many different family get togethers. How will I still eat healthy without making it obvious to my dad and the rest of my family?
I am also only 14, so they won't expect that I actually care about my health
How much sugar can the average person ingest before they get diabetes?
Ok so I really love sugar. Some nights I'll even have 2 desserts and my dad always says I'm going to get fat and have diabetes and that I won't get insurance because the insurance company won't help me since I'll be in such bad shape. I wanted to know how many grams of sugar I should ingest a day so I can keep from getting diabetes.
How do you prevent stretch marks with muscle growth?
So I'm 14 (15 in 5 days). I figured it would be a good time to start working out. I've got fairly good genetics. My dad's a fucking monster when it comes to muscle size. The only problem is that my skin is getting pretty tight and I'm beginning to notice small stretch marks. How can I prevent any further stretch marks?
How do you know when your voice has changed?
I am 13 years old and my voice has been "changing" for about a year now. I understand how, why, and the reasons it changes. I'm just not sure how to tell when my voice has finished changing. Right now, I can still talk in my childhood voice, but I also noticed that about 2 months after my voice started changing, I developed a deeper voice that I could speak in and that it became increasingly difficult to speak in my normal voice. Sometimes it's really hard to talk in my kid voice and it jumps down to the low voice. I just wanted to know if my voice has already changed and I need to start speaking deep, or if I still need to wait, but it's been a year and I am soooo tired of sounding like a little kid. The thing is, my "deep" voice is REALLY deep, like I sound like someone's dad. So I don't want to sound stupid by talking in that voice before I need to. If any guys who have already gone through this would like tell me about your experience, that would be very helpful. :-)
How bad does the Gardasil shot hurt compared to a tetanus shot and how can I convince my dad to let me get it?
I remember getting a tetanus shot before 7th grade and surprisingly, it didn't hurt. But I've heard that the Gardasil vaccine hurts REALLY bad. I think I want to get it (only thing is I've heard that it hurts very bad and that there's controversy over it), but how can I convince my dad? Or can I just go to the doctor and get it without him knowing (I did that with birth control)? I'm 16.
How much would getting your tonsils out cost in the UK? Not through the NHS, but privately?
I need to get them out because I've had trouble with them for about 5 years, my dad's company covers the consultanty fee, however doesnt cost the actual procedure. He said that he would be willing to pay for the proceedure if it doesnt cost a lot.
Any ideas how much it would be? The normal NHS to get it done free takes AGES!
