What works for fading blemishes (acne spots)?
I have acne spots but no actual acne like bumps and zits just these darks spots that won't go away on my lower cheek and chin area. What can black folks use that'll help this problem? I have used ambi and it did nothing for me so don't recommend it, now i'm using palmers cocoa butter and waiting to see if that'll help. i'm also using oxy spot treatment but i think that's for zits so that probably won't help me either. So what have you used that helped, how much and where can i get it, thanks.
RoxyG won't the pin make more scars and marks on my face.
Spintgirlracing can i use soy milk lol cuzz that's what i got for now? or maybe i'll just go buy some regular milk but than i'll be tempted to drink it with me being a milkaholic and all haha.
If I use cocoa butter to get rid of my dark spots, will it cause acne?
I've heard that by using cocoa butter, you can get rid of your post acne dark spots. Is this true? I have oily skin, will using this stuff cause breakouts? My acne is starting to disappear, but I still have those pesky dark spots. What's the best way to get rid of them that doesn't involve getting laser treatments. I'm a teenager, so I can't afford that.
Please help me create my scar treatment routine?
I have scars on my back from acne. The upper part is slightly faded, whereas the lower part has dark spots.
I have my formal/prom in 7 months so I've been using "Dermatix" gel on the upper part ONLY because that's wear my skin is exposed. I'm assuming Dermatix is more effective, and I'm using it sparingly because it's expensive.
For the lower part of my back, I'm not sure what to use. Here's what I have:
- Cocoa butter
- Vitamin E capsules (apparently squeezing the gel directly on the scars help)
- Aloe Vera (the actual plant)
- Emu Oil and Emu Oil moisturizer
- Lemon juice
Some say *mixing* Aloe Vera with Vitamin E is good, but I'm not sure what to believe. I figured trying all of them at once would be a bad thing.
What shall I do as a daily routine? Should day and night applications use the same products?
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thank you!
what cures my post red acne scars?
i heard cocoa butter does but it clogs my pores and i dont want to breakout more! i used new skin's scar treatment but it doesnt do anything, tried neutrogena post acne peel that doesnt work! and i use vitamin e with vitamin a init for night cream! but what would work better for this its embrassing and so noticeable on my cheeks!
what is the best facial cleanser for a person who has severe acne and extremely sensitive skin?
I've tried neutrogena oil free acne control (over drying, wasn't significantly effective with controlling acne) cetaphil (wasn't significantly effective with controlling acne) Ambi (caused breakouts) Aveeno (caused breakouts) however about 16yrs ago aveeno did have an oatmeal bar that worked really well for me now discontinued:) currently using clean and clear continuous acne control recently noticed 4 large pustles will cont to use for the next wk to determine effectiveness. Can't use products that contain sunscreen (cause breakouts) cocoa butter...shea butter...oils of any sort (clog pores and cause breakouts) skin is red, looks harsh, not soft/smooth texture...currently taking 80mg of accutane per day...Help I need a facial cleanser for severe acne + extremely sensitive skin!
How do I treat bad acne quickly without Proactive?
NO PROACTIVE! I tried it, and my skin got itchy and dried it out. I'm only 12, yet I have bad acne. I have tons of blackheads in my nose, and there is a zit growing in between my eyebrows, on my chin, and a little one underneath my nose that hurts a tiny bit. My dad had really bad acne when he was a kid and always popped them, so it was hereditary and now my sister and I have it. I want something that will work, and KEEP on working. but i DO NOT want things like icolytome-whatever, cuz i dont have time or the resources to get things like that. I need brands and advice. Also, after I wash my face, i can see all these little yellow dry things on my cheeks, chin, and around my mouth, so how do i prevent that as well? i have cocoa butter, thatll work right?
