Best Facial Cleanser for Acne? What do YOU use and WORKS?
I have combonation skin/oily and I have blackheads on my nose and overall, mild acne (like 5 pimples but breakout)
What causes acne marks (hyper-pigmentation) after acne?
My acne used to fade rather quickly without leaving a mark, and then one day, I had a horrible breakout. I thought the acne would eventually disappear, but it just left an ugly brown mark. From then on, it seems that whenever I breakout, it leaves a mark. It is eventually fading, but I want to know how it happened and what I can do to prevent it. I have been skipping sunscreen during the summer, could that be why? Also, my body acne still don't leave a mark. Could it be something I use?
Acne tratment quetion?

what is a spot treatment? (acne)?
I got this new oxy face wash and on the back it says that it's best used with the pads it came with and spot treatment. What does that mean?
I've been scrubbing my face with this stuff and a toothbrush the last few weeks and it seems to have been working. About a week abo I started using clean and clear night moisturizer. And just a few days ago I got a break out on my cheak. I've never used a moisturizer before. Is it really needed and could it be what's causing my breakout?
How can I get rid of acne?
I have really bad acne. I know how teens are supposed to get acne but mine is really bad. My friends get minimal blackheads and single zits sometimes but they just have to put ice on them to make it go away. I get whiteheads all over my face, back, chest, and upper legs. When I first started to get acne I used a generic cleanser and moisturizer to maintain a healthy complexion. Then the acne started to come more, and more and I added an on-the-spot medication to target the zits. That didn't seem to work because they just kept coming.
So far, I have used Stridex pads, products from Mary Kay: deep cleanser, moisturizer, blemish control toner, and acne treatment medication lotion, Proactiv: renewing cleanser, revitalizing toner, repairing lotion, daily oil control, oil free moisturizer, and the revitalizing mask, and some Biore products: blemish control toner, foaming cleanser, and exfoliating soap. None of them seemed to work.
I am currently using the Biore products. They felt like they were fighting the breakouts and made my face softer but zits still come regularly all over my face. I skipped one day and had my worst breakout ever.
I recently saw an ad for an improved Proactiv. I only gave the regular proactiv a couple months and it didn't work for me. Should I try out?
I really need help. I get teased because of my problem all the time. I am trying to eat healthy and I really need to drink water more. If there is any product that you recommend for a girl who has a serious whitehead problem, please tell me! I dont get any other kinds of breakouts, just whiteheads all over my body. Also give me any advice to have healthy skin. Thank you! :(
Cheap, effective acne medication?
I'm currently having the worst acne breakout of my life. It's been getting progressively worse over the past few months, ever since I moved to Germany for a cultural exchange. I'm unsure whether the cause is due to a hormone surge or diet change, but the end result is that my forehead and both my cheeks are covered in pimples.
I'm looking for a cheap and effective treatment for moderate level acne that could be pruchased over the counter in an ordinary drug store. Please include as much detail as possible. Preferably something available in Germany.
Note: Severity is roughly equal to that in the attached picture, except that there's more on the cheeks. Also, I'm not female.

I have been eating a lot more meat and cheese and a lot fewer green vegetables since I arrived.
I am looking for treatment specifically for cystic acne…?
I have had cystic acne for about 7 months. All located in the same area of my lower left chin. It has never been anywhere else but this one spot and has been pretty steady since my first breakout. I recently got on Tetracycline (about a week ago) and it hasn't done much at all. I am not sure how long it takes to work. Obviously topical treatments don't work since the infection is under the skin. Does anyone know of vitamins that can safely reduce sebum production or help prevent they cysts from coming back if the Tetracycline clears them up? I am desperate, I don't want scars, the rest of my skin is in excellent shape!
p.s. It is near impossible to get into a dermatologist around my area, I have an appointment for November - that was the earliest they could see me.
Dermatologist treatments and acne medication?
Hey guys,
I have never been to see a dermatologist but am considering it. I use Proactiv and although it works for me, i still do get occasional breakout which I am looking to get rid of! I am wondering a few things:
1) Would acne medications prescribed by my doctor interfere with Alesse (birth control pill)? I will talk to her about this but the office is closed until Monday and I am just looking for information until then.
2) Is dermatological care covered under Ontario's (Canada) health care plan?
3) Does anyone here recommend any treatments done by dermatologists that greatly improved their skin?
Thank you for all answers, again, I will be talking to my doctor and getting a referral, etc., I just would like stories of experience first.
How do I decide what's the best acne treatment for my skin?
My acne isn't that bad. I've never really experienced acne before until now. I am 25 years old, and I have just noticed a breakout. I started using something light, like ambi, and that didn't work. Then I decided to try Neutrogena Anti-Acne Cleanser and mosturizer. In the meantime, I had placed an order for proactiv. So, I used the Neutrogena for about 3 days until the proactiv came, and then I waited about 3 or 4 days (I stopped using the Neutrogena) and began using the proactiv. Well, the proactiv seemed to make it worst. The Neutrogena wasn't given me any problems though, I just thought the proactiv would work quicker. But, it didn't. It just dried my face out and it itches from time to time. I have an appointment with the Dermatologist this coming wednesday so, I wll have to see what he says for me to use. But, do you think that using the Neutrogena is good?
