How does the body react to an amputation?

Just out of curiosity. I watched a video in Health today and it was explaining how the body repairs broken bones and wounds. But I'm wondering what happens when you lose a limb entirely and how the body reacts to that.

How to professional fighters avoid serious injuries?

I have always heard stories about people getting into fights with lightweight boxers, MMA fighters and people who practice martial arts and getting half the bones in their face broken with one punch. But I'm not sure how this is possible sure you will get hurt I have no doubt and lose and might get your jaw broken but if your average lightweight who trains has that much power how come Heavyweight mike Tyson and pro MMA heavyweights don't kill each other?

How much does a human weigh without fat and muscle?

Specifically 6' 7" tall with small bones.

I weigh 150 pounds and I'm wondering how much of that is fat and muscle.
I'm not athletic at all. People often comment about my arms being long, but so skinny.

How do you protect arm and wrist injuries while riding a bike?

Nearly two years ago, I broke my arm riding my bike. I fell off and the pressure caused two bones in my arm to break. I don't want to have another experience like this, as I am scarred for life (literally and physically). I had surgery and I have a metal plate in my arm. How should I protect myself against another injury like this?

How long does a gunshot wound take to heal?

I'm doing research for a novel I am currently writing. My character is in his mid-thirties and in good physical condition. If he was shot in the left arm just below the shoulder by a 9mm handgun, and no bones were broken, how long would this take to heal? Keep in mind, he would not have gone to a hospital--this would have been healed somewhat crudely by a friend of his. Also, would this then leave a scar?

Does testosterone control muscle tone and HGH control bone density?

Because my brother and I are about the same height and weight. However, he has a larger frame and denser bones than I do.

I also notice I feel harder than he does, while he feels softer. We have the same lifestyle and diet. I don't work out in the gym.

Do I have more testosterone than he does because I have more muscle tone? Does he produce more human growth hormone because he has thicker bones?

Is there a disease where you have stunted bone growth since teenager?

I look much younger for my age at age 30. It's like my bone structure stopped growing since my early teens. I got a knee injury, and the doctor saw the x-ray and he said the bones of my knee and leg look like a 15 year old's. However, my overall mass did grow. I weight 250 pounds. It's like my bone structure was stunted and didn't catch up.

I went to the doctor and he said that the blood tests (for things like HGH and testosterone) came normal.

I also read on http://hgh-products.org/ that a produce of HGH causes erectile dysfunction. Quoted from HGH products: "Hgh Reviewed Testosterone

I remember when I used to take human growth hormone from Rainbow foods. I took it when i was 15-17. i was 5'6" inch at 14 and i'm still 5"6' now. The growth hormone i took had so little HGH that its effects were negligible. I'm not looking to form large human muscles that look like I'm on steroids. I'm looking to get stronger, lose weight, heal faster, feel younger. I'm 21 5'6" 185 lbs. I'm also trying to get a longer erection. I don't want my penis size to decrease. I'm 6" right now. I want to keep it that way. I also don't want diabetes or low libido. I'm also looking to increase bone mass.
