Bronzers can cause acne? Or Maybe allergic Reaction? Hmm…?

For about two months I had horrible acne. I wash my face with ProActiv daily and could not figure out what the issue was. I was exfoliating, using other brands, got oxy-10 spot treatment (All these products work for break outs before) but nothing helped. I was getting it all on my neck, small bumps on my forehead and also on my cheeks and chin area. It was ridiculous to look at. Anyhow, I was wondering.. am I alergic to Bronzers and blushes (blushes make me break out too) or is it something in the product that can cause breakouts?

For make up I use Bare Minerals and only the bronzer has given me breakouts.

Currently, I have stopped using the bronzer for a week now, and my skin is perfect. A few pimples are still in place, but they are visibly going away.

Was just wondering what on earth happened. lol .. I was looking into seeing a dermotologist it was so bad, haha. I didn't even have acne that bad in High School! Yeeeesh!

New acne treatment? Any suggestions?

Ok, so i'm 18 years old and I have moderate acne (reddish cheeks and chin area). I've had acne for almost 5 years now. It used to be under control because I took birth control pills (my derma prescribed it) which helped alot but I stopped now because I was afraid of the long term side effects. I have also used Differen but it didn't work and I was allergic to BenzaClin. I don't want to visit my derma anymore because she pushes me to take Accutane but I heard that it has some harmful effects. So anyway, I just want to use over the counter products. I'm using Dermalogica Clean Start Kit and it is really helpful. I still have acne but whenever I put the breakout gel it seems like my pimples get smaller. I want to try some natural products like witch hazel but afraid because I have very sensitive skin.

So do you have any suggestions about what acne products I should use? And what about makeup? I really have really oily face so it's very hard for me to find the right product. I was using Bare Minerals but my face used to get oily by noon.

So basically do you know of any product that is right for an oily, acne-prone skin.

What can I do to get rid of blackheads?

My nose and chin have a lot of them and they just keep coming back. I bought bare minerals make up recently and it works really well...at covering up the new acne it's creating! Anyway products I use already are first astringent, then stridex and then acne free. Once at night and once in the morning. So i have no problem with routine. My face is also pretty oily. So does anyone know a good product for getting rid of black heads?

Polls: Yes, there are more than one included in this…?

Poll 1: Who loves Bare Minerals as much as I've discovered I do? That stuff is amazing! Or if you tried it and don't like it, what DO you like better?

(I had horrible acne since the time I was 10 years old, and I'm nearly 20 now. I still have it to a degree but the worst are my acne scars. I want everyone to know what I know now. It can be pricey but you CAN buy it off of ebay for a good price. It has worked for me when NOTHING else did. It covers as it heals and rejuvenates your skin. If micro-dermabrasion, topical creams and washes, the dermatologist, or accutane dont work for you (because none did for me) Please try BARE MINERALS it may just work for you)

Poll 2: What color nail polish do you think is the best for everyday ware? If you decide on a color, what brand is it?

(Mine is Sally Hanson French tip nail kit...works like a charm)

Poll 3: What is your favorite at home beauty treatment?

(mine is any type of facial...so relaxing)

Lastly, Poll 4: What is, in your opinion, the best line of cleansing products? Face wash, blemish removal, age fighting, moisturizer, etc.?

(mine is Burt's Bees...kind of expensive but there's nothing like it)

Hopefully this will help some of you to have the beautiful skin that I never did. Thanks for your answers!!!

What foundation/concealer should i get?

I am looking for a foundation and a concealer...
the price doesnt really matter.. it just cant be 70 bucks.

I have combination skin... with acne (lot a lot, but not a little).
Currently i have MAC face and body foundation and its good but it just makes my skin in some areas weird looking. For concealer i currently use Bare Minerals... BUT they dont have my color so i look lighter than i am.

I want a foundation that will last throughout the day and will stay on dry... For example some foundation/concealers look perfect in the morning and then when i come home from school i feel the oil on my face and it become DISGUSTING.

I was thinking about buying clinique acne solution liquid makeup... but i heard some bad reviews
and i was thinking about buying murad acne treatment concealer.

any ideas, please and thank you

ABSOLUTE BEST FOUNDATION OUT THERE HELP HELP HELP HELP?

Okay so I've tried every single foundation and brand out there and most of the time I either break out or just wanna try something else. I dont have severe acne just the occasional zit, I have normal skin, I'm using OLAY cleansers and moisturizer and I eat healthy and am not overweight or anything like that. Right now I'm using Revlon Colorstay foundation but sometimes it feels cakey and I'm afraid of breaking out sometimes..
What foundation is the BEST, that wont break me out bad, that is preferrably oil free, that WILL STAY ON FOR HOURS and that isnt irritating????

PLEASE dont tell me to try: Bare minerals or MAC, i dont like those lol

How to get clear skin?

More than anything, I want to not worry about getting pimples. I don't have severe acne, bu when I do get pimples they're usually on my cheeks, chin, or nose, they're really big and red. They last a week or so.

I don't wear heavy oily makeup, I just wear bare minerals. I use Neutrogena oil free acne wash -- it doesn't really work for me. But I don't know what else to try! I've tried Clean&Clear, tried Clearasil... DON'T say proactiv because I am not willing to spend that kinda money and find out it doesn't work. What can I do?

What else should I do about my acne?

So I quit using the creams and gels about 2 months ago that my dermatologist prescribed me. My face has cleared somewhat but I still have acne, On my chin, cheeks and blackheads on my nose. What should I do? I want my face blemish free before school starts. I've had it since 7thgrade, I'm going to be a freshman. Help?
ALSO I've been using the creams for 2 year, but just quit. The gels/creams were harsh, and I do use bare minerals! :D

Liquid foundation for acne prone/oily skin?

Ok, so I have been a bare minerals user for over 5 years.
I am 16.
Please don't give me crap about the fact that I started wearing foundation at 10.
I have severe acne ever since I was 9 and got tired of looking at it so I decided I needed some foundation.
I am getting very tired of my bareminerals because I do have to reapply after PE and everthing like that.
My skin is extremely red ALL THE TIME.
It is very sensitive to the sun because I am on menocycline and tretinoin for my acne.
My skin is clearing up, which is very good :) but I still am looking for a good foundation.
I have extremely oily skin, and I have acne all along my T zone.
My current face routine consists of:
- Neutrgoena oil free SPF 45 sunblock
- revlon colorstay blemish concealer
- bare minerals foundation in light and medium beige, I mix them
- mineral veil
- Blush
- Bronzer

I do keep my makeup looking natural so don't freak that i wear too much because I honestly don't.
I let my natural skin show, but it does embaress me.
I have a lot of issues with my appearance because my skin is so bad.
I love myself, don't get me wrong I am not some girl who puts herself down all the time, I just will NOT leave the house unless I have foundation on.
Anyways, I was looking to try a good liquid foundation.
Just to try but I still don't want to waste my money.
I need something that will last through my school day which is usually from about 7:00 - 5:30 and something that won't melt off during my hour and a half of PE.
I was looking into two options so far...
The Rimmel London stay matte foundation with skinpure complex (salicylic acid for my acne)
and also the Revlon Colorstay Foundation for oily/combo skin.
Idk, any thoughts, options?
Recomendations?
I was thinking about just mixing my foundation in with my moisturizer because I don't want it to look too cakey; I see girls walking around all the time that look so fake its ridicuous.
Anyways, I am looking for something that won't really break me out, that will last all day, and isn't too cakey that will look natural and stay matte for most of the day.
I am a makeup addict.
So don't be afraid to tell me about different MAC brushes you recomend or stuff like that, if you think I should stipple with the 187 or blend with the 109, if you think I need a face primer like Photofinish Light anything, just give me advice, please, I need it!
Haha, liquid foundation intimidates me!
Thanks.
Ok... umm
No.
I asked a question about foundation.
And for your info acne scarring isn't caused by makeup it is caused by severe cysts or nodules that you pop.
And even IF my acne goes away my skin would still look like crap!
It's not like just because I wouldn't have 3-D bumps my skin would be all perfect and glorious.

best over the counter acne treatment?

i am a 20 year old female that has tried everything in the book, plus some, to get rid of my acne. i have been using proactive for years with no outstanding results. every time i drift away from proactive, my face will be clear for a short amount of time, and then i'll wake up looking like pizza face again, which would force me to go back on proactive just to maintain a decent look. now i know diet can affect acne, but i do for the most part stay away from oils and fats, and i very rarely eat many sweets. i also know the type of makeup used can affect it as well, hence why i've been using bare minerals for quite some time. i don't want to use proactive anymore because it is expensive, and all it does is dry out my face and stain my pillow cases. please help! i'm desperate!
