What do YOU use to treat/prevent acne?

I've been acne-prone for a while. While I was in high school, relatives were kind enough to keep me supplied with ProActive, but when I moved off to college I had to cut costs, so I moved on to Neutrogena Advanced Solutions Acne Therapy system. Now, though, even paying per month is getting to be too much. What cheaper products (preferably under ) do you use to keep your face clean and acne free?

Does anyone have tips for acne?

I really need to get rid of my acne. Most treatments either make my skin dry, or just don't work. It's getting a little better now that I've had the clean&clear advanced solutions thing, but it's not working too great anymore. Proactiv didn't work, the new Neurogena dries out my skin. Is there anything that will help me get rid of/avoid acne? Some say there's foods that can help, or something like that. Idk, I just need any tips please. Thankyou!

I'm confused about my acne?

At the beginning of this year I began breaking out. I've been using neutrogena advanced solutions and recently started neutrogena daily scrub oil free wash. I seemed to have minimized some of the zits but i still can't keep up with breakouts. I'm a swimmer so I also need lots of face lotion seeing as the chlorine dries out my skin 7 days a week. I get the breakouts on my forehead, cheeks, nose, under my nose, and on my chin. I'm not sure how to go about cleaning my pores. Is there any way that I can minimize or close my pores before putting on lotion? My acne isn't severe but it's enough to bother me and lower my self esteem. Any product recommandations? Any tips?

Acne Problems 15 year old girl?

So I have tried a few products over the years.
1. Clean and Clear- Only got rid of blackheads so I stopped using it. (used it for 6 months)
2. Oxy cleansing pads- Makes my face dry but clears some blackheads and some pimples. (used for over two years so far)
And
3.Neutrogena advanced solutions- Clears some pimples up but only was working the first two weeks or so. (used for two years so far)

I have been using the last two products each day for two months. And off and on before the two months for about two years. So both products whether together or not have not been getting my face fully clear. Probably doesn't help that I have been using face make-up for the last like seven years of my life.
Anyway I have looked around at other answers to questions similar to mine but haven't found anything that fits what I have. I think it is time to stop using all together and see what happens or find a better treatment plan.
Thing is, I do not know where to start. I am on a low budget to, so anything above like is going to piss my parents off. I have tried the home remedies and nothing works (normally makes it worse). I have continued using these products even though they aren't working 100% because my parents spend a lot of money on them and I don't want them to go to waste. Plus when I do not use them I get more acne.
And I get more acne when I get my period but I am full of pimples and no period O: haha so any advice or something I can try that will surely not be a waste of time or money?

What is the best acne medication/treatment/everything?

Ive been trying to keep my acne under control for years now. I made appointments to see a dermatologist but they don't have any openings until 2 months from now and by the time I go for my second visit, Ill be 21with no insurance until mine own kicks in. (I'm under my fathers) I don't want to go to one without insurance because its a lot of money and I have college tuition and books to pay for.

Anyways, I was just wondering if there is any great treatment for it. I don't have big pimples but more like the little ones on my forehead and alot of scarring for pimples. I'm using the Neutrogena Advanced Solutions now. No, Proactive did NOT work for me.

Any thing would do for now. I hear of the Differin cream. Does that work?

Some make up tips would do to cover up. Bare Mineral looks caked on me so that one is out of the question (no i didn't use more than I should) I use Maybbelline Dream Mate foundation. Any make up that I can find in department or drugstores would do.
