How can I completely clear my skin of acne before summer ends?
I'm 14 years old and my face is breaking out all over. I'm going into freshman year in high school and have been having acne breakouts since the sixth grade. I want to go in to my school year looking good with clear skin but I don't know how. Is there a way that I can completely clear my skin of acne before summer is over?
Why do I have ugly skin and acne, but my sister doesnt?
I am 16 and had acne, breakouts, blackheads etc since I was 12. I am 16 now and it has made me SO self concious. Right now I have 3 pimples on my forehead, blackheads all over nose, and my chin and mouth area is all broke out :( they are red, flat noticeable pimples.
I use a face cleanser twice a day, and a moisturizer. I don't really wear makeup, sometimes Concealer but it doesn't cover well. I exfoliate a few times a week, and use a clay mask once a week.
My sister is almost 14 and has 98% clear skin. She rarely washes her face! She doesn't at night and only sometimes in the morning with just water. She doesn't use any products.
It makes me mad !
How can I get rid of brown spots caused by acne?
I have brown spots all over the sides of my chin from prior blackheads and acne breakouts. How can I begin to fade these spots away? I've been using hydrogen peroxide but it doesn't seem to be doing much. Any other products I could try that will fade the spots and not cause anymore breakouts in the process? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
What are some great home remedies for acne breakouts and blackheads?
I have lots of blackheads on my nose and chin and a bunch of acne breakouts on my cheeks! Its driving me insane and it just happened 2 weeks ago, after eating a WHOLE lot of chocolate. Do you guys have any HOME remedies for my skin? All I know so far is to stay away from junk food :) Thanks!
Vitamin E oil or cream for acne scars?
I've read on countless sites and reviews that vitamin e does the trick if you're looking to remove acne scars. I have acne scars on my chest, and I'm going to California in a month and I want to be able to wear a bathing suit without being completely embarrassed by it. I've heard both the oil and the cream work, but the oil works more effectively. But my concern is that since it's oil, it will clog my pores and just cause more chest acne breakouts. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
Getting rid of serious acne? Help!?
Hi, I was just wondering how do you get rid of a serious acne problem? Recently I've been having serious acne breakouts on my forehead that look horrible and last a long time before they eventually go away. Well, the actual breakouts go away, but then the leftover scabs (I know, ew) stay a long time. Like two weeks or more. I admit, sometimes I pick at them by mistake, and I'm trying to break that habit, but the pimples just seem to keep coming back. I've tried Proactive; didn't work. I've tried the "natural" homemade remedies (such as a oatmeal/green tea/milk face mask, brown sugar and milk face scrub, etc etc etc. None of those seemed to work in getting rid of the pimples, even if I gave it time. All they did was make my skin smoother and softer.
And now, what I'm trying is I use the Equate brand acne wash (salicylic acid acne medication: oil free-effective yet gentle cleanser) once or twice a day, Nicel Daywear Defense: Vitamin E Cream, Clearasil Ultra: Rapid Action Treatment/Vanishing Cream (the kind that apparently "reduces pimple size and redness in 4 hours") (10% Benzoyl peroxide acne medication), and then I sometimes finish with a Maybelline brand non-acnegenic/non-comedogenic (says it won't clog pores on the back label) shine-free oil control foundation makeup for cover up, when needed. My routine is at night, I rinse my face with warm water to open up my pores. Then, I use the Equate cleanser and a soft scrubbing pad to gently scrub all over my face. I completely rinse that with warm water. Occasionally, it will make my skin a little dry. So I rub a thin layer of the Vitmain E Nicel brand cream all over my face, particularly on the dry spots (such as around my nose). This cream works great in keeping my skin from pealing and becoming dry after using the face cleanser. Next, after I let the Nicel cream completely absorb into my skin, I dab a thin layer of the Clearasil Ultra vanishing cream on any pimples (mainly all over my forehead. :/). It does sting a little, which is normal for the product because that just shows that it's working. Finally, if I'm going somewhere in public, which means I basically use it everyday, I put on a thin layer of the oil-free foundation makeup for cover up on any blemishes/pimples.
Now this routine, when I first tried it, seems very thorough and effective, wouldn't you think? I thought it would be.
I've also heard that exercise and your diet affect your acne. I exercise just about everyday because I do cross country running. Which means I have to drink a lot of water to stay hydrated and that should help my skin. And I'm also a Vegetarian, so my diet is pretty good. Not always, but for the most part it's pretty healthy. I also used to drink green tea everyday, which I've not been doing recently, so I might start doing that again to see if it helps.
But even after all this, my acne is still pretty bad. I often have breakouts right in the most noticeable place; on my forehead. :/ It does get frustrating and significantly reduces my self-esteem in school, etc. I see all my friends and they don't have as bad acne on their foreheads as me, and I just don't know why mine can't be like theirs! Their skin seems so clear, and I bet they don't even use as much stuff to try and get rid of acne as much as I do!
Now I know that there are a few things that could be causing it...For one, I need more sleep. I get about 6-7 hours per night during the weekdays, when I should be getting 8. Number two, I need to get over the habit of popping my pimples and picking at them. I tend to try and pop them and it does pop them, but then it leaves a scab and that can lead to some scarring. Thirdly, I need to drink more water and green tea. Even if I do cross country running, I sometimes slack on drinking water during the day before practice. And I haven't been drinking very much green tea at all for the past few weeks.
But can these few changes that I need to make really clear up my acne?
Please give me any advice you can! Thanks! :)
How do I prevent acne? People are always making fun of it or pointing it out :(?
I have very severe acne problems and I don't know how to stop the breakouts. I wash my face twice a day, exfoliate and steam it weekly and the products I use have benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid because I heard those two are the best for curing acne. They do cure the acne, but as soon as my face is clear I get breakouts all over again. How do I prevent my face from breaking out?
I can't see a dermatologist because my parents wont take me, they dont have time and the waiting list is really long.
Is it normal for a 17 year old to still have severe acne breakouts? All my friends have already grown out of it except me :(
Ladies, would you date a guy with acne?
I suffer from acne breakouts and I'm in my 20s. I've tried everything to stop them, but nothing has worked. I wash my face every morning and night, I shower everyday, I apply acne treatment, but I still have a few spots on my face.
Ladies, would you date a guy with acne?
What's the best solution to prevent acne?
I know there's many advertisements and products on the market stating that they have the best solution, but they all do that so I cannot really be sure. I want an opinion from the public so I am hoping teh Yahoo Answer community can help me out. I am getting minor acne \breakouts throughout my face and I was just wondering if you had any suggestions for really good solutions/products. I use Neutrogena Acne Oil-Free Stress wash or something but it does not help that much. Please help me <3
How to clear skin that Proactiv damaged?
I see many people on here recommending Proactiv to people with acne/breakouts. I've been using Proactiv for a few months. My skin actually got worse. I've tried using the mask, I've tried lessening the number of times I used the scrub or repairing lotion a day/week. At first, my skin cleared up within the first two weeks, then I started getting abcess acne that is really painful. I'm just wondering if anyone has at home/natural treatments. Or even store-bought, gentle stuff. I have sensitive, acne prone skin. It was oily, but since I used Proactiv, it's now oily but flaky (with small scabs where my break-outs once were) So I guess you'd call my skin type combination. Is there anyone out there who has the same skin type as I do who uses something on a regular basis that works? Not something you used once before...but daily/weekly. If so, what is it and how often do you use it? Thank you all.
