Yoga Hip Opener with Sarah Sutton
Open your life by opening your hips. Tension in your hips may lead to low back pain and an overall tightness in the way we walk and the way we approach each day. Opening your hip area will reduce the stress in your body, improve your balance, and create a lightness that you can take into your day. For more yoga videos please join us at YogaStudio9.com.

Hi Sarah, I’ve been having problems with my hip flexibility and i’m looking for some exercises to open my hips. I have heard yoga can be of great benifit to those who participate in sports that require high levels of flexibility, but sadly I don’t have the time to commit to a yoga class. I do stretch daily and have been meaning to alter my routine by adding hip openers.

I have good flexibility in front splits position but my side splits are poor. Are there any exercises you could recommend to open my hips in that plane of motion? I understand that many muscles etc are involved in doing the splits and for some people its an unachievable goal but I feel any improvement in my overall hip flexibility will transfer into my chosen sport. Great video by the way, I hope you can help as i’m in need of expert advice.

It cant just go “pop” and its open.
but there comes points while stretching where you feel that “wow I can go much futhere”
But if your a “noobie” it will fast get results, but you have to do it about 30 min a day (at least)
Sry for bad english and have a nice xmas =)
