How to ease the pain of wisdom teeth?

My wisdom teeth are really starting to cause a great deal of pain. I don't have insurance and have no way of paying to get them removed at this time. I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to ease the pain until I can get together some money to help pay to get them taken out.(I've been using oragel and it only works for a very, very short period of time.) Thank you.

  1. well your going to have to get insure and get them taken out. Theres no way you can get rid of the pain, at all. itll just get worse and worse and worse. so go get a insurance card and get them REMOVED(:

  2. Hey

Awh darlin I feel your pain but I got all four out in September which really is the best way to relieve the pain!

Until then I would say take two 500mg and I stress 500mg pain killers (which you can get over the counter) every four hours and if you can get it, ‘bonjela’ a gel for mouth ulcers and the oragel!

Good luck and I hope that helps!

  3. Your doctor can write you a prescription for stronger pain medication. However, the pain will not go away completely until you have your wisdom teeth removed, and they can even cause damage to the roots of your other teeth or the nerves in your mouth if they remain. If the roots of your other teeth become damaged or if an abscess develops, the surgery might be even more expensive. I would say this should be a priority in your life right now, to get enough money to get your wisdom teeth removed.

  4. I’m a Costa Rica dentist and in my office I will charge you just $100 for a wisdom teeth surgery or $20 for a simple extraction. Other way to dissapear the pain for the moment is take antibiotics like Azitromicin 500mg per 3 days and Berifen(r) 100 mg every 12 hours (be careful this can’t be take by high blood pressure patients). Also rinses with warn salt water for 1 min and cammomile tea will help a little bit. Periodex also help.
