How to avoid red bumps after you shave?

Everytime I shave my feminine area, I always end up getting red bumps everywhere down there. It's really unattractive! How do I avoid them? Or how do I get rid of them once it does happen? Will lotion help?

  1. exfoliate gently beforehand and shave downward

  2. No it will only infect don’t shave wax it might hurt more but it’s not ugly

  3. Apply moisturizer, and do not scratch the area.

  4. Be sure you’re shaving in the direction your hair is going. If you have against it, it could cause ingrown hairs, or bad razor burn. It won’t be the smoothest, but it’s the best way to avoid the annoying and scratchy red bumps. Eventually you will have no red bumps at all as long as you shave in the direction of your hair. It’s also a good idea to wash over it with a not strong fragranced soap.
