How much weight do you lose from starving yourself?
I KNOW IT'S NOT HEALTHY! I don't want to starve myself, but I noticed for the past few days I've had no appetite at all, and haven't aten anything. Lately I've been really stressed and down, so I guess that's why. And yes I am planning on doing something about this, but I just wanted to know how much weight do you lose from starving yourself? Let's say a month.

Honestly, if you starve yourself for a month you’ll need to be hostpitalized. At that point your body will have begun to digest its non-vital organs, like muscles. However small spurts of starvation (or just not eating properly) are likely to make you gain weight, as your metabolism will go down in your bodys attempt to conserve energy. In actuality you lose more weight by having 3 square meals totaling to around 1500 calories. In my case, to compensate for my exercise I eat about 1700 calories daily in about 8 small meals a day.

Low calorie diets work the same way as low calorie diets. You notice that people that are on low carb diets are always having weight problems? About 30% of the weight loss is muscle loss. Because of this muscle loss you dont have the ability to store glucose and glycogen. This trends you to diabetes. You also have a increase of lipogenic enzymes. These are the enzymes that store body-fat. And finally because your not taking in any carbs or calories necessary proteins are converted by the liver into carbs to help run your body. That sacrifices the protein you need to repair your body. This all means instead of getting thinner your getting fatter.

If you have a sitting job, stand up and stretch yourself every half an hour. Most of the jobs today are indeed sitting jobs that are in one word sedentary. This is especially true for those who sit and punch away at the keyboard or toy with the mouse all day long. So if you have such a job, make it a point to get up at least every half an hour and stretch your self.
