How much weight can I lose in about six months?

I'm 18 years old, I'm 5'8 and I weight 246 lbs.
I'm planning a trip to a tropical-ish location where there will be beach and pool and I can't walk around with confidence at this weight. What is the quickest, healthiest most efficient way to reach my goal weight of 175 lbs? And how much can I lose realistically?

  1. Well, you can lose a ton if you do it the wrong way. Assuming you want to lose it the right way and keep it off permanently, you can expect an average of 2 pounds a week over 6 months. Now that doesn’t mean 2 pounds every week. Some weeks at the beginning you will lose a ton. 10-15 pounds the first couple weeks, but you will level off once you’ve lost the water weight and the easy to lose fat that comes from soda and sugary snacks. Then you’re going to go down to around a pound a week. Some weeks you won’t lose anything. You have to keep at it.

I was able to lose around 33 pounds in 3 months by doing the following:

    1) Healthy eating – I did the "fat smash" diet

    2) 1 hour of cardio every day (sometimes I did the machines, so days I did aerobics classes – change it up or you’ll get bored)

    3) weight training for 1 hour, 3 times a week (this means on some days I was actually at the gym for 2 hours because I had to do my cardio). On weight training days, I did a myoplex protein shake immediately after each weight workout.

    4) Daily multivitmain and 1 "stacker 3" fat burner per day

    5) 8 hours of sleep every single night. Make sure to get the sleep

    6) No eating within 2 hours of bed time

  2. RAW food is the answer. Google search loving-raw, there is a guy named Phillip that has a support site. If you’re like me you think, hell no I’m not going to eat raw meat. Its not about raw meat, just anything that you would reasonably eat raw. Oh yea, you can use the entire site for free. Phillip lost like 200 lbs on the diet, it changed his life and he wants to pay that gift forward. I guess that is the reason im typing this. I lost 60 lbs in about 2.5 months people say that’s unhealthy, but my body feels healthier each day. In six months time you can loose as much weight as you want. I hope this helps, good luck.

    Sincerely, J.

  3. 175lbs might be a bit tricky to reach, 190lbs would be more realistic if you want to follow a healthy sustainable diet.

The first thing I would say is diet and fitness shouldn’t be about losing weight and then stopping, it should be about changing your lifestyle so you can lose weight, improve your health and body shape, and stay like that. That means your need an exercise regime and diet you can stick to. Also be aware that you cannot spot reduce fat, only lower your body fat percentage, which can be frustrating if your body is inclined to deposit fat in around one area.

To lose weight you need to eat less calories then your body requires each day. For a woman you should eat 2000 calories a day to sustain your weight, and 1500 calories a day to safely lose weight. It might be tempting to try and eat a far lower amount, but you’ll almost certaintly either fail, or put the weight back on when you stop dieting, and that’s apart from any health problem it could cause.

So first of all I would advise you join a calorie tracking website like The Daily Plate (linked below) and track what food you are eating.

Next you should try to aim to eat 40% carbs, 40% protein and 20% fat each day. Carbs are the biggest culprit when it comes to putting on weight, more so than fat, so the less carbs you eat the better. That’s stuff like bread, potatos, rice, sugar, etc.

Then think about exercise. You should think about doing cardio exercise, such as jogging, 3 times a week for 30 minutes. The Couch to 5k plan is very good at getting you from not being able to jog at all to being to jog no stop for 5km.

If you want to lose fat and get a good body shape then you should consider weight lifting. A lot of women think lifting anything heavier then their purse will make them look huge, but women are not able to put on muscle like men, and unless you start taking hormones and eating half a cow a day you aren’t going to end up big and bulky. Again, weight lifting should be done 3 days a week.

  4. If you are not afraid to try wieght loss supplements check this website out amazingthings.vpweb.com
it may help. It will tell you how it worked for me

  5. If you can say no to alcoholic beverages please do. Alcoholic beverages too are not good for you. Beer can be fattening and the rest of the alcoholic drinks may not be fattening by themselves but after a couple of swigs you will be in no position to watch your diet and your appetite too will be something to battle with.

  6. Reduce your intake of pork. Pork is not something that can help you to lose weight. The fatiness of pork is the reason for this weight loss tips. So the lesser pork you eat the better chances you have of losing weight. And remember that pork includes the pork products as well, things like bacon, ham and sausages.

  7. 1 pound per week is very realistic, but only 1/4 pound is even much batter, loose it slow keep it off. Loose it slow and loose it easy, keep it off with without much effort.

So go for 1 to 1 and an 1/2 pounds per week. See what happens, may even be able to do 2 pounds per week. Your goal needs 3 pounds per week minimum. It is doable but have to be very care full but just take what you get in the time you have then keep going when you are back till you reach this Magic Number but you need to be around 146-167 pound, so think about it. Here is more.

    Good Luck, Just try.
    *****************************************
Get going, buy a book called Mayo Clinic Diet and use it.
    **************************************…
Body parts specific exercises and total body work out.

Read all this and make your own program. Then stick to it, change it as needed but must have on to follow.

Try, try, try. Do not give up.
    **************************************…
You will need few other measurement such as Need to put in the info on wrist size, measure "Fat Index", ——,——-,—.

    Use this link.

    http://www.halls.md/body-mass-index/bmi.…

Most of it may not apply but is suggested reading only. For lots of solidified fat around the upper abdomen and tummy:

Include total body work out too, so this fat may not migrate to other locations.

Learn the yoga by joining classes, and then at the end you can do it right at home. Then there is a Q? of affordability. But there are books in the library and there may be lot to learn free of charge on the net.

Gym again is the Q? of time and affordability. Time it takes to go to gym can be utilised to do exercise at home.

Best thing is to use both diet and exercises to reduce this extra weight and the fat.

If you spend on gym and yoga classes then it is an added incentive to not to waste it. Spend it if you can afford it. You need to be inventive, Gallon jug filled with water is 7 lbs, so you can use two jugs as weights in each hand. A one pound can of soup or vegetables fits nicely in most people’s palm too, and make very nice light weights for exercising the arms.

Most program fail because they are made by other people, so after acquiring the knowledge make your own program up and write it down then do it if need be modify it as you see fit but do not give up try, try, again and again. You will feel good about it and feel very healthy.

If still growing, so grow grace fully. Doing some Body parts specific weight free, free hand exercises can do wonders for biceps and triceps.

Same for abs, do abdominal and side bends and front bends and even back bends.

When you get going on biceps and triceps, you will have enough strength to do pull up and chin ups. Bicycling can save time and if possible swim in a safe place or in a pool ii it is convenient.

In the mean time just hang from your hand and just keep trying one day you will be able to pull yourself up. Then try chin ups, and slowly add a one more every few days.

All this is found on the Net and in the library, so read up on it and do it correctly so you that you may not get hurt.

Must drink 1 gallon of water per day.

Eat right, include all food groups per this site above. Do not exceed the total calories per day and eat at least 1500 calories per day every day. One pound of fat is about 3500 calories. You must sleep up to 7 to 9 hours a day time permitting and including naps.

Go for a walk every day for 1 hour, around your residence, start slowly (5 minute), to warm up then increase the speed a little till you can maintain a good clip then slow down to cool off (5 minute before the end of 1 hour). Do the walking in one direction for about 30 minutes then return home, may take little longer.

Or look up total body weight free free hand exercises and do them for 1 hour every day. You find them in the library and on the Internet. They can be done at home does not need gym.
