  1. I personally eat about 25% of my daily 2500+ calories in a large variety of healthy no-oils-added nuts/seeds. They are nothing but pure goodness, low in sugar/net-carbs, and the type of natural sustenance food you should be consuming in the place of all those high sugar/net-carb foods that most people eat excessively instead in their diet.

Dried fruit, like ALL high sugar/net-carb foods (natural or otherwise), needs to be serious moderated and restricted. I personally suggest you not consume more than 100g TOTAL of non-veggie sugar/net-carbs per day (and that should be spread out over the day and still be natural, nutrient-rich, fiber-rich whole foods…preferably gluten free as well).

For reference, I am 46 years old, 6ft2in, 185 pounds, 9% body fat ratio, still look like I am in my mid-late 20′s, and have stellar scores on all my blood work and health exams. I attribute this to a lifelong practice of both exercise, and consuming a diet rich in veggies, natural fats (nuts, eggs, etc.), and protein, with very moderated/restricted non-veggie sugar/net-carb intake.

  2. 3 nuts a day if you’re a girl and 5 nuts a day if you’re a guy. It’s better to eat fresh fruit, than dried fruit, but if you just like the taste, then keep it to a minimum of 2-handfuls a day.

  3. I could eat almonds, peanut and cashews daily! You should only have 1-2 servings a day though. Same with dried fruit, i don’t eat dried fruit it’s typically loaded with extra sugar. Fruit gets bitter when dried and they have to sweeten it.

  4. 5 nuts per day

  5. You can take all the nut varieties that you want just limit your whole nut consumption to 3 cups per day.
