How many tylenols would it take to almost kill yourself?
I'm getting back in touch with one of my friends who is telling me how she got out of the psych ward a few weeks ago. She said she overdosed on tylenol pills and the doctor told her that she came really close to killing herself. She didn't get kidney or liver failure. I feel like it would be out of my way to ask her how many she took, as she made it clear she doesn't want to go into full detail.
How many do you think she took?

That depends on a lot of factors including her age, if she drinks, if she abuses drugs, and the general health of her liver to begin with. Now as for me, I took 25 pills and each of them at 650mg of Acetominophen (Tylenol). That 16.25 grams of Tylenol which for my body weight, is 1.3x the lethal dose for 50% of people who ingest that amount, or what’s called, the "LD50". Your friend could have taken 10 pills or 30 pills. But it was likely around 15-18.
