How many calories can I burn by pumping rather than breast feeding itself?

I am 5 months pregnant with my second child right now. With my first child I pumped because I had a c-section and it was hard to get a proper position for feeding. I also liked knowing exactly how much my first child was eating. Anyways, I just wanted to know how many calories I can burn a day by pumping vs. latch feeding. Would the calories burned be any different? I think I am leaning more towards pumping again!

  1. I am not sure but it is not as much as feeding itself. Babies face muscles are much more efficient than a pump at extracting the milk. I heard it is something like twice as much as you feed normally to equal out what a baby can get.

  2. do what you want, but there is no difference in calories burned whatever.

  3. I have no idea o_O buh what i do know is that if you kiss someone you lose 5 calories XD
