How long/how many appointments do you have to do before finally getting braces put in?
I really want to grt braces this summer before I start school, next week my parents are taking me to get a check on my teeth/have them look at my teeth to determine how much it would cost I guess. Should I be able to get them in before school? How long does the process usually take?

I went last week and they did xrays and all that, and discussed the cost, I got them in one week afterwards :) So ya, I’m pretty sure you’ll get them on before school!!
And if by process- you mean getting braces actually on? It takes about an hour to put the braces on :)
PS: Make sure you have plenty of ice cream and pain killer.

It all depends, first you have to go & they will just simply examine your teeth & give you a price estimate, if your parents agree & all is well, try to schedule the next appoint as soon as possible.
Next time you go in, they will make a mold of your teeth so they will know how to make your braces and what not. Then the next time you go in they will probably put the braces on.

Well, for me it only took like 3 appointment’s. The first one is what your going to. The second is where they mold ur teeth and take photos. Then the last one is actually the big day for bracess.

Well it depends. If you already did the x-rays and if they have the mould of your teeth then you should be getting them pretty soon. If all goes well you should have them on by August, before school starts. For me, I had two or three appointments before actually getting my braces. It is quite a process. But if you get them this summer, it would be a good idea because at least you have some time to adjust to them before school starts.
