How long will it take to lose 10 pounds?
I am 5 7 and have a small frame. I weigh 137 right now, but because of my frame, I need to lose 10 pounds. I eat terrible, everything and anything I want. I am also a drinker. I have cut back on alcohol and sweets and have been running 5 days a week for about 2 weeks now and haven't lost a pound. How long will this take?

You have to change your diet. Exercise alone won’t help you lose weight. And cut out the booze – nothing puts on weight faster than alcohol.
If you make big changes in your diet and continue to exercise at least 30 minutes each day, you’ll lose 5 pounds in the first month. Then you’ll lose 1-2 pounds every month thereafter. These are averages – your experience may differ.

Depending on the amount you drink, if you cut that out entirely, you could drop a pound or two in two weeks flat and continue going down

What else are you eating? Junk? Big plates of pasta? White bread? Because you need to cut down on those too.
Time you went and learned about food and what’s good to put in your body and what isn’t.

A healthy amount of weight to lose per week is 1-2 pounds. A pound is equal to 3,500 calories, meaning that to lose a pound per week you would have to do one of two things. EITHER, burn more calories than you consume, or cut down your overall calorie consumption by 3,500. Keep up the running, it’s great aerobic impact exercise for your heart, and of course for weight loss. Be sure to include stretching and strength training (both resistance i.e. pushups and weights and core) too, it helps you strengthen yourself as a runner. If you wanted to lose 10 pounds, it would take approximately at least 5 weeks. Another tip is to keep junk food out of your house, you won’t have it so that you won’t be tempted to eat it. Stock your house with healthy foods like nuts, fresh fruits, and even dark chocolate, which has antioxidant properties that are good for you. Best of luck!
