How long until my braces feel comfortable?
Hi, I just got braces not even three hours ago, and I found that it is really uncomfortable to drink, eat, or really move my mouth in any way. Will this go away in time? And also, how long until I start feeling pain? Thanks in advance.

In time, you will get used to the feeling of the braces in your mouth. It will more than likely take a while.
As for pain -if you have any-, it’ll go away within a week or less. :)

It takes a while you can also get brace wax to put on the sharper areas until your mouth is OK with having braces.

took me about 3 days. they’ll always be a pain in the — but you’ll get used to them

Okay, pain SOON! Just got mine on last Monday (18th) It’ll go away in about 4 days, but believe me, it will be so extremely uncomfortable for a while, and it will feel like FOREVER, but I guess it’s not too bad :)

After a couple of days you’ll start to get used to it. It will be more uncomfortable when you try to sleep for the first time, and your mouth will be sore in the morning after. but you will get used to it. and you should feel the pain very soon. but it will go away, tylenol/advil and other pain relievers will help. Then everytime you go to get your braces tightened it will hurt as well. Hope that helps!

i remember the first day i got my braces on. It was uncomfortable but you just have to eat soft foods and take some tylenol/aleve to help the pain. Within 2-4 days your mouth will feel normal again and it will be easier to eat. Right now your mouth is just getting used to the braces being there for the first time. The further along you go the less and less your mouth will hurt after each appointment.

It took me about 2 days to get used to them and about 3 days for the pain to go away (3 days each time you get them tightened)
