How long does it take to start seeing workout results?

I'm a skinny guy who has been working out for about 3 weeks. I work out at home for about 45 minutes, 3 times a week. I take creatine and organic 100% whey protein. I haven't really seen and big muscle growth. How long does it take or what changes should I make in my workout?

  1. How old are you? That makes a little bit of difference if you are young enough. Normally, a natural bodybuilder can put on 5-10 lbs of muscle a year (assuming you have good a diet and use utterly stict form
    when working out).

If course though you do start seeing the results sooner than that. You should notice some difference by the end of the third month. It won’t be much but IMO any is something to get excited about :) btw, where did you get *organic* 100% whey? I would really like to know so please respond back to that question.

  2. A month or so if your regular!

  3. lol why u wasting ur money on creatine??? its not gonna help ur scronny a$$ much if u dont know how to workout and eat correctly, stop takin that stuff… and working out at home isnt gonna get u big, u HAVE TO go to a gym where u can lift heavy weight, because only heavy weight will give u muscle growth (along with proper diet)

u got more questions as to what im saying feel free to IM me (just click on my profile)

  4. Make it 5 times a week also more intense workouts just go to youtube and type in sixpackshortcuts it helped me just saying.

  5. A year before you see that much of a cosmetic change, you should be noticing strength gains monthly, if you don’t then you have plateued and most likely need to improve your nutrition. poor Nutrition is the number one reason weight lifters see poor results, I repeat. the #1 reason.

Muscle builds slowly unless you’re on steroids, so be patient with it. Make sure you’re consuming enough protein from LEAN sources and that you’re spreading your protein in-take out over the course of the day. 5 healthy meals a day is considered the minimum in most bodybuilding circles, every scoop of whey protein can count as meal so remember that if you’re in a tight situation and can’t get to a kitchen.

It’s also probably a good idea to get a bodybuilder to show you how to do workouts with good form, your reps should be slow and controlled as opposed to fast and jerky and beleive me it’s much more difficult to workout with good form. I know weight lifters that can easily do dumbell flyes with 100+ pounds when showing off but they train with around 30 pounds.

Don’t listen to people who say you need to go to a gym, the only material things you need to become a champion bodybuilder are a pull-up bar, a floor to do push-ups and crunches on, a pair of cheap used dumbells, and of course a pair of running shoes.
