How long does it take to get your period on birth control?
This is my first month of taking birth control. I have taken all 21 of my active pills. Today is my first day taking the reminder pills. How long does it take after taking the active pills until I start my period?
A day?
No I'm just talking about the time period of when you stop taking the active pills, and start the reminder pills. How long does it take to get your period? should you get it the first day of taking reminder pills?

For the for month or 2 your body isn’t completely used to the new hormones so it may be a bit random, but I’ve been on the pill for almost three years now and it still takes 3-4 days of my sugar pills for my period to come. It’s different for every person too, I get mine so late because my period only lasts 4 days in total. Don’t be worried if it doesn’t come on your first or second day though. Good luck!

It takes your body a few months to get used to the new hormones.

most people get it that day, but it can take 3 months for your body to get used to the pill, so it might take a while, you might not get it, you might even bleed very lightly during the active pills. If you don’t get it by the time you’re taking active pills again, I would avoid white pants, but it isn’t likely that you’ll bleed heavily taking active pills. so the first 3 months might be irregular but you will get it the first day of placebo pills once your body is used to it.

Depends on your cycle. Are you every 28 days? Every 30? You should start when you normally start. Always keep track of your cycle

You don’t have to take the inactive pills every month, you know. You can keep on taking the real ones if getting your period would be inconvenient. But don’t change anything before consulting your doctor.
