How long does it take to get muscular arms?

I'm 16 and I started going to the gym so I lift dumb bells that are like 10 to 12 pounds. How long does it usually take to get muscular arms? Should I lift weights that weighs more than that?

  1. Well, you take PE, so if you can set up an appointment, talk to the teacher or coach for some ideas. I am sure there is equipment and activities in the gym class for you. Otherwise, see if you can join a community fitness center and get a trainer. I don’t really want to say anything about your program at this point.

  2. it depends if your using steriod’s or muscle powder if you are about 1 week but if not about 2 -3 weeks x

  3. if you’re consistent with your workout and eat right, you can expect to see pretty visible result in around a month, i would suggest lifting a dumbell that you can only lift around 15 times in a row before your arms give out, then rest for a minute or two, then lift it as many times as you can again (probably will get less reps, maybe around 12-13), then rest again….then do this again, lower the weight if you have to but you want to aim for somewhere betweein 12-15 reps before muscle failure….do this 3 or 4 times and then give your arms a couple of days to heal…make sure to eat lots of protien and do it over and over….dont forget to workout other part of your body!

  4. Always lift with the maximum weight that you can do a set of 8-12 reps with (if that made any sense) and if you are patient results should come in few months depending on your genes and what you eat.

  5. itll take you a week with whey protein to see something happening but usually itll take a couple months

  6. not really sure, just keep up with what your doing
