How long does it take for inflammation around the heart take to heal?
My partner has been suffering with severe chest pain since July 31st, and was in hospital for 2 days on monitor. Almost 2 weeks later he is still experiencing the same pain and has been told by doctors to have nurofen 3 times a day. (Not helping) How long is this going to carry on? And is it normal to wake up through the night in a bad sweat? Been happening now for 3 nights.

If it is pericarditis he should be on NSAID’s (non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs) after that the healing should take 1-2 weeks
