  1. Alcohol is a small chain molecule similar to glucose. As such it’s quickly transported across the mucosa – internal organ lining.

The mouth is covered with mucosa and as soon as you take a sip some of the alcohol starts to be absorbed. The mouth is close to the brain and some of this alcohol will absorbed into arteries as well as veins. The veins will take the alcohol away from the brain only to return later after it’s been through the heart and lungs but, the alcohol absorbed into the veins will go straight up and into the cerebral circulation and start being absorbed by the brain.
The longer one keeps alcohol in the mouth the more will be absorbed and the more noticeable the affects.

So, technically speaking, though only a small amount, some will be hitting the brain within seconds.

  2. Seconds.

The MOMENT alcohol is put in the mouth it can be found in every tissue in the body.

  3. Seconds

  4. It actually has no effect on the brain, this is a common myth. Alcohol actually effects your spirit, thus the term "Jesus Juice", Spirits and "Liquid Courage". It just enlightens you to God. Nothing bad every happens to drunks or alcoholics, those who say the opposite are manipulated by Satan.
