How long can you wait to get a cavity filling?
The reason why I ask is because I discovered I have cavities on my wisdom teeth, and I could only make an appointment for one month after. Will these cavities get worse? Will I have to get a root canal then? How can I avoid my cavities getting worse?

it depends on where the cavity is. If the cavity is only in enamel in an area you can keep clean its progression can be slowed. If the cavity has gone beyond the enamel and is in dentine, it will spread faster. it is very very very rare that a wisdom tooth gets a root canal. There has to be an unsual circumstance for it. So I doubt that tooth is a candidate for root canal. One month you should be fine since the tooth will be removed. Much longer than that and the procedure of removing the wisdom tooth can become harder.
