How long after your hysterectomy did you have to wait to have sex?
I recently found out that I have uterine cancer. I am 37 and otherwise a healthy individual. I am having a hysterectomy where they will be using the robotic arms. If you have had this same surgery, please share how long before you were able to have sex and how long did it take you to recover from this surgery? I am just wondering what to expect. Thanks in advance for your help!

I’m sorry for your diagnosis – hopefully they’ve caught it early -
I did not have robotic arm -mine was the old-fashion way — which means, hopefully, you will recover more quickly –
I’m pretty sure it was about the same as having a baby – about 6 weeks before venturing to have sex again — (ask your Dr.) -
You will probably feel like "playing around" before then – and you can make it interesting for your partner – even if you are not participating.
I really took months to completely get over the surgery as far as feeling like myself again — but I was in so much pain and had so much bleeding for months prior to surgery — that could have effected it –
Good luck –

I know it sounds embarrassing, but I’m sure your doctor has heard worse. It sounds like a question you really should call him/her up about. It could be a serious thing and people on yahoo answers aren’t always right. Just give them a call, and I’m sure they’ll give you a good answer. I’m sorry to hear about your cancer.. Keep cheerful. :)
Hope I helped… Try mine? :)

dont have sex for long time, maybe a few months. dont worry about it, you can always have outercourse… (you know humping, grinding, blowjobs, etc.) and as for the soreness, you will feel tons of aggressive pain for the first few hours, but it will go away quickly and its nothing motrin can’t help. if your into homeaptics you should use sepia.
