How gross or bad can it be to use a mattress that was already in our apartment?
Obivously it does Not have bed bugs (we would have felt them already) but we don't know how many ppl used it before us. We use our own sheets ofcourse. Any answers?? Its a green matress that looks kindof worn out, the landlord didn't want to help throw it out so we could put ours in.

well your’e gonna cover it up with sheets so it would not be that bad i think especially if your’e gonna use one of those thick comforters as sheets, but its really your choice if you wanna take the risk, well if you ask me ill just buy a new mattress, its not that expensive to buy a new one.

sprinkle baking soda on it and put a mattress cover on it

Obviously it would be great to get a new one, but that’s not possible at this point. I’d say if you have already been sleeping on it and there’s no bugs/crabs/etc, and no nasty smell, I really wouldn’t worry about it.
You do what you have to do!

Im usin a used mattress too and what i did was spray fabric lysol all over and then used the shark steamer lol forgot what is called.
