How good is boiling hot water at killing germs?
I have tools and old containers in my room if i put them in boiling hot water how good is it at killing germs?

Dear Marc,
For simply explanation, the defenition of germs are divide into two groups.
a. Bacterial, to kill this one, the temperature is at least 80 deegre Celsius for around 30 minutes..
v. Viral, To eliminate the viral, we need more higher temperature, For dry haet, U need 160 deegrees for 60 minutes. If u use autoclave, u need 121 degrees Celsius, 20 -30 minute at 15 PSI.

Well, most germs can’t stand heat soooo. yeah.

Quite good it will kill most germs but not all.
Also what are these tools being used for ?? Open Heart Surgery?
Simply washing most implements and containers is enough to make them safe.

since it is just old tools and containers it will kill 100%
