How do you mail letters to kids with cancer?
I want to start a school program where we write letters to kids with cancer, but I don't know how.

You should contact your local children’s hospital. Speak to someone in the pediatric hematology/oncology department- likely a child life specialist or social worker.
Your idea is nice, but there may be limitations. As a child life specialist in pediatric hematology/oncology, I get this question frequently (and mailings and drop offs of letters and cards I did not give the okay for.)
If I do say yes to this kind of project, I lay out my expectations clearly. There should be no mention of religion, God, or praying in the letters. The letters should not say things like "I know you’ll get better" or "I know you’ll be fine." Not every child will get better or be fine. The letters should not say things like "I know how you feel" or talk about someone’s mother’s friend’s dog with cancer (or like that… you’d be surprised what we get.) The letters should not include any medical advice. The letter writers should not ask for or expect a response- this is really important. It’s one thing to write a letter; it’s another thing to expect a penpal relationship.
So what can the letters say? Jokes! Our favorite cards are the ones with jokes (clean jokes!) The kids remember them. Stickers are awesome, especially if included and not stuck to the letter. You can talk about your pet, a favorite activity, or a favorite TV show, for example.
But the most important thing is to call ahead and speak to someone to make sure that this is okay.

Find your local cancer support group – google "cancer support" plus wherever you live. They’ll be able to advise you.

Yes get in touch with your local cancer support group, or look up hospices around your area and contact the matron of one of those with you wonderful ideas. Once you make contact with someone in authority they will only be too glad to help you set this project off.
You are doing a wonderful thing by the way, and it shows that your a lovely person. God bless you.

I can just tell you the overview of the situation as you know that it is kind of bad news so in bad news never reach at your main point never write in the start always explain first what are reasons and what are the situation, causes and other buffer which is behind this then tell about your problem.
