• Hey I’m a dermatology student and by following this, is best way to get rid of acne scars is the following. With all my patients I’ve seen some pretty horrible scarring completely healed.
1) Mandelic acid based skincare treatments are BY FAR the best skincare products on the market for post acne scars. NuCelle (http://www.nucelle.com) have the largest range, and have been clinically proven to be effective. Mandelic acid is the meant for acne scar sufferers and is the most gentle skincare product which minimizes inflammation and redness. For best results, use the serum, use the face wash, toner and moisturizer too. Also, protect your face from the sunlight and heat while you’re treating your scarring, as it will quicken the healing/restoring process. For more info on mandelic acid, visit http://www.mandelicacid.net
2) Invest a little bit of money in IPL (Intense Pulse Light) laser treatment. IPL is a laser treatment which works by eliminating the enlarged capillaries in your face which causes redness and scarring. You can get it done at most spas or laser centers. If you have about 2-3 treatments and use mandelic acid products on your skin, your scarring and redness can pretty much go away for good !

Try putting aloe vera juice, vitamin E or lemon juice on the scars. These should all help them to fade, although of course it does take time.
I found these on this website:

Some acne treatments are more effective than others. There are many factors that can cause acne which means not all treatments will work for everyone. You should see a dermatologist for severe cases of acne. For most people, though, the following natural remedies should work just as well.
While there are plenty of causes of adult acne, sometimes it is easy to figure out why the blemishes are happening. Some women with acne can get rid of it simply by changing the kind of cosmetics they use, as the cause of the condition was chemicals you have a bad or allergic reaction to. Cosmetics that are low quality, or that contain many harsh chemicals can cause acne in some people. If this is the root of your problem, wear natural make-up instead. Female adult acne is often the result of imbalanced hormone surges which can be set off by the ingestion of birth control pills. For some women, the simplest acne treatment is to make simple changes in lifestyle. Changing your diet is one way that you might be able to reduce your adult acne naturally. Some foods, especially those that are refined or processed can contribute to a person’s acne, so cut out foods like fats, junk foods, carbohydrates and soda. Alcohol and caffeine have also been known to make acne worse, so cut back on those things too. While some people think that certain meats and dairy products can contribute to adult acne, they can also help you stay healthy, so instead of cutting them out altogether, try buying and eating only organic versions. Regular exercise is good for cleaning out the body’s systems, so introducing that into your routine can help you naturally cure your acne. As you eat better and get more exercise it is also very important to drink lots of water. Getting rid of the toxins in your system is important to curing acne and drinking lots of water is good for that.
You may be aware of turmeric’s many health benefits but it can also be used as a remedy for acne. Commonly used in Indian cooking, turmeric has antiseptic properties which give it many health benefits. You may want to use turmeric in foods, or you can take it as a supplement. Turmeric can also be made into a paste and applied directly to the skin. Because coconut oil has its own health benefits, it is a good option to use with the turmeric to make a paste to apply to your face. Ideally, use this at night before going to bed, only make sure to let it dry before lying down. This can be a fast way to clear up your acne.
You don’t have to live with red and black pimples for the rest of your life. Not all acne remedies work the same for everyone but with a little patience you can find an effective treatment for you. You should try at least one of the above acne treatments and see if it helps to clear up your skin. Getting rid of your acne once and for all is possible with a little determination.
