How do I help someone who is being bullied?

A group of persons has just started bullying a friend of mine. The things they do to him include pranks(moving his stuff around, for example) and making fun of him. This has just begun so I believe it might be a good time to try to stop it. He doesn't seem to be much bothered by it, but I don't like how it looks. Please don't give me that crap that everyone says. I need effective ideas.

  1. Definitely stand up for him next time.
I would personally get physical with the bully, but that can get you into trouble (Like, if you slapped him in the face or punched him.)
From how you said it is a group of persons, I’m guessing it’s more then 1.
So next time, try saying something like "What is your problem?! Do you honestly think you’re cool? Ganging up on one person? People like you disgust me. Leave my friend alone. He didn’t do anything to you."
It may work. It may not.
    But it’s worth a shot ;)

  2. Talk to his extended family and move him to live with one of them in another city. That usually stops gang recruitment as well. That is one more reason we have extended families.

  3. Just because he seems ok with it, doesn’t mean its driving him crazy inside.
What you do is; Tell them to back off. If you’re not too shy, tell them they better knock it off. If they don’t, go to a teacher/adult, and ask then to address the class in general, so not to make it obvious you said anything.

  4. next time hes getting bullied, stick up for him and dont back down

  5. call the police. harassment is illegal. give them a name.

  6. Heres a bad idea. Tell him to join a gang.
