How do I get rid of painful fever blisters?

I have 7 fever blisters and they are very painful!!! How can I get rid of them really fast? I heard putting toothpaste on them dries them out but I tried it and they just got bigger what should I do?

Abreva. Works Wonders. Its kind of expensive for a little tube, but its well worth the money as they go away within two days or so…
